Any Twins or Dodgers fans on the forum?

Being from England, it's always tough to find fellow baseball fans to talk to, lol. Surely I can't be the only MLB fan on the forum?

Take a look at my signature photo, the one on the left side of the signature.
That is the original 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series Championship banner. It is now in the Brooklyn Historical Society. I took a photo of it myself on a visit there and put it into my sig.

Awesome! I believe that series was the only time that Jackie Robinson played in a championship-winning team, if what I've read is correct.

Yes, Robinson's career was 1947 to 1956, inclusive. The Dodges won six National League Pennants in that span (1947, 1949, 1952, 1953, 1955, and 1956) but only that one World Championship.

I've read a lot about the history of the team. I actually visited L.A four years ago on vacation, and the day after we arrived, the Dodgers were knocked out of the NLCS by the Phillies; I think I cursed them, lol.

I cursed the Phillies for doing that in 2008 and in 2009.

Yes, I loved the "Tugger". Gone way too soon. 🙁

I was actually at the clinching Game 5 of the 2008 World Series (both nights!) when the Philadelphia Phillies were World Championsssss of Baseballllll! A night I will always cherish for sure.
