Anybody lost their ticklishness?

I did, about fifteen years ago and have been depressed ever since. I really wish I could get it back. I think I'd give my soul for it, sometimes.

interesting. I suppose that could happen but you are only ticklish where there are nerve endings in the body so that is strange. Maybe if you pretend to be for awhile it will come back.

could it be because your body gets sued to a certain type of tickle that it has less effect?

I lost my ticklishness too, I think it happened after my 6th back surgery, but could have been as early as the 4th, I'm blaming it on the back brace, it's kind of tight around the front and irritates the skin, if anyone has any other theories let me know please!!!!!!

oh my... well loosing my ticklishness is my worst nightmare! I hope and pray that I will never loose it.

The spinal cord does seem to have a lot to do with ticklishness and the sensation of tickle. I have had a bad back for 14 years... Hmmm. I think we've clinched the cause here.

Somebody isolate the ticklshness gene, I need a mega overdose of gene therapy here and a new spinal column. Someone shoot me so I can regenerate!
