Does anyone know why about 3 months ago YouTube changed their website so that when you click on a music video (not a mix, just one video) it now comes up as an AI generated playlist and not just the one music video? It wasn't like this 3 months ago or more. Yes I know there are mixes you can also click on. I don't do that. I also don't use YouTube Music as just looking at it for the first time today it appears they don't have every Red Hot Chili Peppers song for example. So my guess would be I wouldn't be able to use the Music website to find new artists as you can with just plain old YouTube. Does anyone know anything about this? It's frankly pissing me off as I could open I guess 50 tabs for every song I find to listen to, but for some reason my new computer for every tab I want to listen to I need to enable a sound booster as for whatever reason my volume ONLY on websites is about half what it should be. I have no issues with my videogames, porn videos, etc. Took it to the store (Microcenter) where I bought it from and they couldn't figure it out. 7 computers and this is the only one that does this. Unless it's a Windows 11 thing as this is my first Windows 11 computer.

All I know is it's becoming a pain in the ass to listen to music due to YouTube evidently changing something about how their website works.

Just to be clear, for example, if you go to YouTube right now and type in Don't Stop Believing from Journey and click on the music video instead of just being only the music video with a list of recommendations to the right, it now comes up as part of an AI generated playlist with the recommendations below that. I can delete out all the music videos from the playlist, but say I want to type something else into the search bar while I have more than 2 videos in a Q as it should do it makes the Q smaller and displays your search results for you. Then for some reason sometimes you can hover over another music video and it will let you add to Q, or sometimes it doesn't from what comes up when you've searched. Why this is that way is also annoying as fuck. Like is the website just a broken piece of shit or is it me?

I did find a Reddit post that seemed to indicate that you have to turn off auto play, because you know sometimes websites decide to fix stuff that ain't broke. SMH

youtube is how I listen to music. I'm an album guy though. I search for the band >> go to their official channel >> go to albums / releases >> choose an album >> listen to what I want

I leave auto-play on. ads during some songs is a bummer lol.

I think I figured out you have to uncheck auto play on any video on their website instead of what would make more sense, which would be to do the same thing, but like in you know settings. Anyway once you uncheck auto play it seems to stop this crap from happening.

I alternate between youtube and bandcamp, but ultimately, I prefer MP3.
