ANyone else have loved ones in iraq?

hi everyone i was just sitting here for the first time i have been to this site without my girlfriend sitting beside me ... she has been deployed in iraq until next september......the reason i was writing this is to see if there are any others feeling like i do

Of course they do, we have female fighter pilots and they go into combat all the time.
And when you are deployed, unless on humanitarian duties, it is usually to a combat zone.

the fact that i'm sexist is funny because the army physical fitness test is graded separately between males and females with lower standards for females, so much for equal opportunity and nonsexism, and i see females do even less than i do and still get a 300 score

speaking of which a guy in my section was shot for an "army strong" commercial D: hopefully it will be airing soon before i go to iraq myself

as far as military proffesions are concerned, woman are not permitted to do combat specialty jobs (ie mortarman, machinegunner etc); but that does not mean that females never find themselves in the heat of battle. for example, woman are allowed to be truck drivers(they let them drive :wooha: ) so if the convoy is ambushed....

But back to the subject, i have two family members in iraq right now. One uncle from my fathers side is attached to the first armoured division, US army (old ironsides) and a cousin on my mothers side is in the navy. I have one family member killed in action in 2003, but we wont discuss that

the hollywood brother do not know anyone in iraq right now but can not even begin to imagine how hard it is for families that are religious to be seperated at this time of the season. the hollywood brother just hopes that if you you loved ones in iraq, then hat they will come bck on there own two feet and in good condition

all i have to say is anyone who thinks that is completly wrong ... and i take offence to anyone who says that. my girl is over there risking her life to protect a contry that is supposed to be equal and weither u are a man or woman if you are willing to protect my contry i am proud and will support.sexist is stupid because there are lots of young women doing the same job fighting beside young men ,also about women driving the truck you are worng it is who ever is trained to! she is a marksman and would not be wasted in the front seat driving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!( unfortunatly) plus even the driver has to fight.........................................................................
she is very much in combat as alot of other woman and men so please take into consideration when talking about them because i couldnt do thier job and im not sure most of us would not want to .... pray for our troops and our allies aswell

second of all, i'm frankly tired of repeating what i say and the fact that i'm talking to someone with add does not really help

fourth, females are not to sign up for things like infantry or artillery type jobs and mainly do combat support which is what was meant by the comment, and under normal circumstances they are not involved in qrf, and maybe you should have researched this more before calling sexism on a comment when you don't even know what is going on, this is a common problem of spouses and companions who don't really have a clue what is going on when they constantly call my buddies up and think they're lying about being held late at work after formation just so they can cheat on their spouse/companion and then drive up to the parking lot to HONK THEIR HORN INFINITE TIMES WHICH DRAWS ATTENTION FROM THE CSM AND 1SG AND SUBSEQUENTLY THE MP VEHICLE THAT DRIVES BY

This really wasn't meant to be a flame thread. However good sir on your comment about sensitivity and my coment about sexism, my point was that there are female combat pilots, I have scrambled many, and as far as I'm concerned covering the army's/marines/navy and even our own backside is combat enough. And I too can also be branchist, but for goodness sake this is for our brothers and sisters in arms overseas. If you didn't like my comment I apologize.
