Anyone here play pokemon?

HDS played a long time ago, ceasing after Ruby and Sapphire due to a lack of time. I also collected, but never played, the card game; many of them do I have in a binder and shoeboxes somewhere. I remember playing the originals (Red was my first, I believe) and then that bloody Pikachu that followed you around in Yellow. From the first and second Stadium to Missingno and on ... nostalgia hits hard, aye.

Hey did any of you know that you COULD catch mew in red and blue without cheating? And no, it didn't involve moving the truck lol (anyone who tried to get mew without going to an event would know)

Missingo deleted my game when I was 12. 🙁 And there really was a way to catch Mew? Please tell if you remember - it drove me batty since I heard who Mew was. I knew it was possible because I traded for him (although some prick named it MAGIKARP so it looked daft when I used her).

And yes, I remember trying to move the truck. XD I also remember running in circles on the deck of the SS Anne, talking to the grumpy coffee guy fifty times and about a million other superstitious doohickies. 😛

Ah the Missingno cheat... the only way I could get a decent team for all of the Stadium tourneys without taking up too much time. (Nothing beats many rare candies) I'm much like Tyrant Rave, in that I usually play it before I go to bed. I had Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold and Silver, before I stopped playing for a while. I have since gotten LeafGreen and have played some of the others, mostly Emerald.

I'm not sure if I have a favourite, but the two closest would have to be Charizard and Rayquaza.

I got a mew on red by trading it with someone else!

I used to play pokemon red days in a row when i was 10, to get all kinds of unfamous pokemon to be strong, to suprise my buds at our own tournaments (we all had those link cables)

I had Alakazam (100!) and magmar (100 too!), and a Victreebel (guess what...100!), and i do not remeber the rest, but it used to be pretty awesome. I should dig up pokemon one day again...

huh...now that's an interesting (if not a little long and drawn-out) way to catch Mew...I mostly used gameshark and later the Missingno/'M glitch thing on Cinnabar Island (then again, I caught a level 255 Snorlax that way too X3)

Does anyone have a yellow and crystal version that they don't want anymore and does anyone have a monster brain? Monster Brain lets you give the moves to a pokemon, get you many items, and helps you back your files on it.

Monster Brain?
The only thing like that, that I know of is Pokesav, and that's for Diamond and Pearl.
