anyone know about combining vids?

I've been gathering a bunch of helpful videos onto my new youtube page the last few days. I decided it would be easier to keep it all there rather than dling it...for now. It's all stuff that is either informational or can help deal with chronic pain, etc.

There's some stuff that I'd like to be able to combine into single larger files that I can have on my laptop rather than playing them individually online. I also have some I'd like to be able to pull audio from and combine to have on CD. Anybody know how to do this type of stuff?...and/or know of any free programs I can use to do it with?
