Hello,

I believed the forms mentioned above functioned as substitutes for the real thing. Either, one felt they were incapable or were otherwise inhibited from indulging in their fetish in real life. That all changed with the tidal wave of experiences I've had since September.

I still view clips, but mostly as masturbation material and not in a fetish fulled obsession (seems one in the same I guess). However, my tickling media consumption has slowed in aggregate. Though, I have gotten more active to this site. Perhaps the mediums above or supplements.

In any event, I don't fantasize as much these days compared to pre TFP.

I worded the question poorly. In essence, if members had a number of real life opportunities, would the other forms of media use decline? In my own experience, my use of clips for erotic purposes is shifting to vanilla style media.

Oh, that is a different question.

Back in the mid-1990's, I bought and frequently viewed VHS tapes with tickling. After beginning to see Mistress Zara in 1999, and getting tickled a lot in real life, I ceased buying tapes and rarely watched the ones that I already had.

If I had a real life play partner (girlfriend, friend with benefits, etc), then yes, the other forms of media would be all but dead for me. Speaking here from experience. When I had someone, I had no need to blow my money on videos, cam girls, etc.

I have most definitely noticed a decline in my own media use since meeting my partner (who is kind enough to tickle the hell out of me, and let me retaliate). I used to sit there for *hours* watching videos and longing to feel the sensations myself, not just for masturbation purposes (although it's a nice addition to that too). I still watch/read tickling material if I am feeling aroused (no vanilla porn for me)...but it's nothing compared to when I was single and yearning for something that I thought I'd never have. Porn in general is likely consumed mostly by those of us who are lonely. Those with real life sexual accessibility wouldn't be as inclined to use substitutes.
