Are woman more tickled than men - and why?

I've followed the thread Have Gender anything to do with ticklishness. It's an interesting thread, a lot of the participants think gender has nothing to do with it.

One of the thing that has come up is, that it seems like women are tickled more than men. My own observations shows they're right.

But what do you folks out there think? And if you agree, that women are tickled more than men, how can that be?

I would tend to agree with this theory. Making me tend to believe that women are, for sure, tickled more than men.

That and I think that there are, even if slightly, more men who are ticklers than ticklees and there are more women ticklees than there are ticklers.

Well, being that most men are masculine, which means they feel a need to dominate and most women are feminine, which means they tend to be more submissive, I'd assume more men try to tickle their mates becuase it would be considered unmasucline to be tickled by a female. Remember, the rest of society considers tickling only a formality - another step in the complex human mating dance, nothing more. They're not fixated on it like we are (although I wish they were).

I agree women are tickled more than men. One reason is that men are usually stronger than women and can cosequently overpower women and tickle them. Conversely, due to their strength ticklish men can often ward off being tickled by women.

so just by shear numbers they will be tickled more.

another reason, it's fun, and cute to see a lady giggling, and wiggling ,but not as cute to see men the same way.
another is reaction. women tend to give the desired reaction, where as men tend to get up-set, and threatening.

we guys need to learn from the ladies in that regard.

Well, in my humble opinion, the reason why women are tickled more is because this is a MALE dominated fetish.
Men want to tickle. Women may want to tickle too, but many men are not willing to give up their control to women.
Men do not want to tickle other men because it is thought to be a homosexual act.
Why do men want to see 2 women tickle each other or have sex with each other? Because men do not feel threatened by the presence of another man doing it with the woman.
Now this is purely generalized. Not EVERY one feels this way.
I, myself, don't mind seeing a man being tickled. I'm not a homosexual, but I enjoy seeing anyone being tickled or tickling another.
