are you a Scrooge or a Cratchit..i seem to be starting a butt load of threads today..but it's rainy out..and i'm a bit under the weather so to speak..

my uncle always referred to me as Scrooge..hmm i don't see it personally..grrr

i believe i'm a bit of both actually...it depends on the mood and the day..i would say generally i'm more like a Cratchit..looking at the bright side of things..or the positive..and he needed to do that more than anyone..

hmm, i would say i enjoy the christmas spirit more than i dont. but its always fun to just sit back and observe some of the things that make other people rage about christmas.

In spite of everything, he keeps the spirit of christmas in his heart all year and looks at what he has as opposed to what he lacks. He's glad to have a job in hard times, to have such gifts, and is blessed with a loving family and eventually the reward for his suffering in the form of a doubled salary, a friendship with his previously cruel boss, and full medical care for his family, saving his youngest boy.

Well,Izzy I believe everybody has their bad days and it is really hard to be cheerful when it seems the whole world is against you and you can't seem to get anything right.So,I believe we all have a little Scrooge in us every now and then.

Definitely a scrooge. I honestly don't like the holidays. The way people frantically shop like they're all in some kind of panic-stricken trance is disturbing. Not to mention, I get anxious and stressed around the holidays because literally every year I can remember, something traumatic or horrible has happened.

I don't ruin the fun for anyone and try to participate as best I can, but inside I really would rather not celebrate them at all. I'd also rather not have some of the worse times in my life highlighted by corny music, lights, and tinsel.

Annie i'm sorry to hear that..however i can relate..as most of the awful things that happened in my life happened this time of year..and then certain smells or sounds remind me and out comes Scrooge..but i try...

i have three different versions of "A Christmas Carol" one starring Mr. MagGoo..that one is too cute for words.. MaGoo? whatever grrr...it's so cute..and the best looking Tiny Tim of any version i've seen...i also have the one starring the unimitable Alistair Sim...he was perfect as Scrooge..

my uncle used to tease me by calling me Scrooge...he was a strange one..

Cratchit to the max. 😛 I don't like the panic-stricken shoppers either - they need a good slapping - but if you can look past the tinsel etc, Christmas is a lot more.

I'm a full Crachit. I don't get caught up in all the frenzied hype of spending for gifts. We remember The Reason for The Season in our household. The joy comes from seeing the delight in their eyes and the joy that only Christ can put in their hearts. No amount of melted credit cards can buy that...

I have to admit to being a bit of a Scrooge at Christmas time. I wish I was a bit more optomistic like Cratchit. I grew up believing in the "Holy" Day of Christmas. I really don't like the way the day has evolved. My siblings and I had presents when we were growing up but I was never selfish, like gimme gimme gimme, or I want I want I want.......I never had my own kids believing in Santa Claus either. And they turned out just fine!!!!! They still had Christmas but they knew the presents were from me, and they know not to be selfish.

We put our tree early this year. We decorated the fireplace and put lights in the basement family room. A little extra time to enjoy the Season. This year is especially needed with all the bad news regarding our economy.

I know it's not one of the choices, but I'm more like Charlie Brown.

I'm like Scrooge but in a different kind of way , because I would never treat a person like that!! but I don't like Christmas too much
So I would say that I'm more like the Grinch than Scrooge
