That certain individuals on this forum who believe that the men here are only saying things only because women want to hear them? And that most of the men do not have their own personality. Basically they were saying the men on the forum are a bunch of pathetic pussy whipped girly men. What are your feeling about this? Do you believe there is any truth to it?

As I can see by reading all the replies there seem to be some "THEY"S" that disagree..............

The consensus seems to be that Iggy and whoever "they" are were spot on with their deduction, however they get no brownie points for it because it's on a par with saying "Eureka! The grass is green!". Of course some men say things that they believe women want to hear, usually because they are want "the sex". It's a common occurence and I defy any male to say they HAVEN'T tailored a response to their ideals of what women would like to hear or faked an interest in some frigging stupid shite hobby/ telly programme/ whatever to make a woman think she has something in common with them. The human race wouldn't have survived so long if it didn't happen, it's pretty much part and parcel of the human progenitor's process.

When I talk about "they" it is deliberate. I am not here to name names. My post is simply my interpertation of what "they" said in previous posts , and "they" can clarify and speak for themselves.

Another thing I want to clarify is that my post was not about flatterly. This is not about, "you look nice in that dress" or "I love your new hairstyle" I know this goes on from time to time. What I am talking about is completely altering your personality in order to please the women on this board. For example, a female poster posts something you disagree with, but simply because the poster is a female, you actually say you agree. Another example, is that a poster is afraid to express an opinion simply because he feels that women will not like it. This was the point I was trying to get at.

IMO, Capnmad and ticklishgiggle had the best responses to this thread.

There is no denying that a good number of men act like the attendees of a president's State of the Union address with regards to replying to particular women in forums.

I've seen a very popular girl on one forum sign in, and say something such as she is bored, and no one is talking to her. As a result, her simple one line post became a 3-4 page thread. When I see this type of behavior, I move on to posts made of substance, ones that encourage true dialogue--not toadying or sycophancy.
