Has anyone noticed specific astrological signs having more people into tickling than others ? I know it seems like an odd question, but the more i talk with people or see profiles on MySpace I start to believe it. I myself am an Aquarius and know we are a bit off the path and quite creative and open to different things, which makes for a perfect tickling life. It seems a lot of the people I meet that are into tickling are Aquarius. If you go on People in MySpace and type in tickling, look at the astrological sign at the bottom of each profile and draw your own conclusion. This is by no means a large survey I have taken, so pardon my generalization of Lers and Lees. I just found it interesting and wondered if anyone else had any imput or thoughts on it. Given that the position of the stars has no effect on our daily lives and the decisions we choose to make, let alone being able to define our innate sexualities, I would say no.
 
I'm an Aquarius as well. And no, I don't see any correlation. This topic was mentioned not too long ago, it's a intriguing concept. I'm just not sure exactly how it came to be.

I know we can base relatively some of our personality traits from our Astrological signs, but I don't think it'll have anything to do with our interest in tickling.

Unless it's speaking to the type of personality we might have when being tickled or doing the tickling.
 
You want the "fun" answer or the true one? The "fun" answer is anything you want to believe. The truth, as Artoo's reply suggests, is that astrology is pure bunk.

It can be dismissed fairly easily, using the example of twins.
Twins are born at the same time under the same conditions, and astrology suggests that they will have similar fates, and propensities to do similar things. And that just isn't the case - so often you get twins who approach problems differently, have different sexual appetites from each other, and have different personalities.

Like whether the earth revolves around the sun, or whether grass grows, is a matter of opinion. The simple fact is that the claims of astrologers have been rather thoroughly scientifically tested a number of times and have never held up. What's more, there isn't even a plausible theory behind it. But the bottom line is that it doesn't have any predictive value whatsoever. In blind tests, the most "expert" astrologers can't even discern a person's astrological sign based on any other information about them -- or vice versa.

There have been reports (how reliable, I don't know) of twins, separated at birth, later finding each other and finding striking similarities in each others lives. However, to whatever extent that isn't merely based on "confirmation bias" (that is, such as used by some to find supposed "striking coincidences" between Lincoln's and Kennedy's assasinations/lives/whatever, by stretching the facts and ignoring the far greater number of differences, etc.), where there might be anything other than coincidence behind it, that would far more likely have a hereditary rather than an astrological basis.

Hm.

I never heard of that. And I can attest strongly to the large differences in twins.
 
I'd momentarily forgotten that my father was a twin (although not an "identical" one, that shouldn't be relevant to their both having the same "sign"), and I know he always spoke as if he thought he and his brother were "different as night and day", personality-wise, as indeed they pretty much seemed to me. As for their "fates", my father died almost 17 years ago (of "natural causes"), and although I haven't seen his brother for awhile, as of the last I heard, he's still living. I wonder if their presumably identical "horoscopes" would have predicted that?
 
If you believe in astrology -- maybe signs that tend to have more playful or social characteristics are more into tickling?
 
I haven't noticed any correlation, no.

(And I think that answer is <I>more</I> fun than pretending that astrology has credence.)
 
Astrology, on some levels, can actually be pretty accurate, if you study them enough. I hold a lot of resemblance to the typical Capricorn. I notice traits like that among other TMFers and my friends.

As for ticklishness, I couldn't tell you off hand. I'm sure a study could prove one way or another. While genetics holds a hand in, well, everything, I wouldn't rule astrology out completely.

So am I!

My mom was an Aquarius too and we were different as night and day most of the time. Also there are differences between the Aquarians born in January and the ones in February (sounds wierd but true). But we had lots of common ground as well. She firmly believed in astrology; she didn't break out tarrot cards or anything like that but she felt people born within a certain time period had lots of personality traits in common.

If you sat us four Aquarians in a room, you'd get four different sets of opinions on a lot of stuff. But I bet there are plenty of things we do agree on and it can also be combined with a universal level of creativity and a low tolerance for bulls*it!

So I believe that there are many commonalities within the zodiac. Would I attempt to turn it into a science? No way!
 
The Aquarius ladys i know love having there feet tickled,but i have fould very ticklish ladys of all signs, some love it and others hate it.:wavingguy

Im an aquarius, and yes i have a tickling fetish (as well as others), but to think my fetish is the product of my astrological sign? id have to se some proven documentation to believe that.:roflmao::roflmao::man:
 
I'm an Aquarian too, I doubt what sign you are is able to detect if you are ticklish or not.

I would like to have a different ruling planet though, bloody Uranus, I ask you tut tut 😉 :roflmao:

hey I am unablanced at times.. but who isn't.. and beeing a highly hot charged tamale.. does seem to fit me.. for those who really do know me.. I am more than just the hugger/greeter.

Yep. That's why astrology "works." Because every character trait it describes for every sign fits everyone...at least sometimes. (Although I guess I'm not sure if the "highly charged hot tamale" part fits everyone)
