Within the last 24 hours, during the 24 hours before baseball's trade deadline, the NL East leading Atlanta Braves, who now lead the NL East bv six and a half games following a successful important 4-2 trip to DC and Philly, improved their bullpen, a trouble spot for the Braves all season, by acquiring three relievers, including a closer, Shane Greene.
I'm going to be optimistic, but not,.. arrogant, in spite of what some of my fellow Braves fans are saying.
The moves the Braves made, strengthened their already solid team today.
It would seem that the Braves are on their way to a 90-95 win season, and a comfortable NL East win.
However, I'm well aware that there are still two months left in the season.
Thus, I'm going to be happy with the bullpen improvements, and the successful important just completed road trip. Hopefully the Braves will continue to play well. If that happens and they win the East, then just maybe.
