What do the baseball fans of the forum think of the Atlanta Braves winter additions to the roster? I think they have made some good moves.
Derek Lowe, Javier Vasquez, K... (Japanese guy whose name I can never spell,), and now, tonight, they have agreed to a deal with Garrett Anderson to play left field, who hit 290 with 15 homers, and 84 RBI. This on top of re signing a supposedly healthy Tom Glavine to be our number five starter.
It seems that the Braves will have a very good rotation, and a decent bullpen with Mike Gonzalez, and Rafael Soriano. This on top of Chipper, Mccann, Francouer, and now Garrett Anderson.
I'm very, very pleased with the way the Braves have stocked their roster. They acquired a legitmate ace in Derek Lowe, two other innings eaters in Vazquez and K... plus retained Glavine, as well as having Jair Jurrgens, who won 13 games last year, with a sub 4 ERA.
I think this team should win close to 90 games, and challenge for a wild card. They had money to spend this winter, and seem to have spent it wisely.
