A little art I did of Asami Sato and Korra from Legend of Korra.

After saving Republic City numerous times, the citizens where grateful to the Avatar and her friends. There were even talks of mounting a monument dedicated to her and everyone was ok with it. That is until they found out the funds will be taken from the tax payers' money. Opinions quickly turned against the Avatar. It didn't help how much of the damages cost were leaked to the public or how Future Industries was blamed for some of the smuggled weapons that were used by the Avatar's enemies. The Avatar reminded the citizens that they should at least be grateful to her and her friends. So the citizens did show their gratitude. By mounting a monument of the Avatar, as in literally with her, stripped bare and contorted in an uncomfortable position in stocks. They were nice enough to even include the Chief Executive Officer of Future Industries to keep the Avatar company.
