Bam Bam Bigelow Dead at 45

These wrestling companies need to do a better job of monitoring their perfomer's health. Every year there are wrestlers dying in their 40's or 50's. They need to do something about the steroids, pain killers and other medications.

Well, Bam Bam hasn't been wrestling since 2001, so no one could of monitored his health, though if they did monitor wrestlers' health, men like Brian Pillman and Eddie Guerrero would still be alive.

I remember watching him back in the late 80s, I was always amazed that such a big guy could move around like he did.

The promotions never cared for the health of the wrestlers. They need to stay healthy and 100%, otherwise, they will give your spotlight to someone else who is fresh.

Its sad tho most people will only remember Bam Bam for the farce that was him against Lawrence Taylor at wrestlemania

There's a large degree of truth to that. But, from what I know of the history of this business, most wrestlers have never exactly cared overly much for their own health either. The only industry that seems to have had more blow floating around is music.

You and me both dude, hell I didnt realize he was so young! I always thought he was at least thirty five when I watched him as a fourteen year old in 89

They cant care for their health. They spent 354 days of the year(more or less) gettin in virtual car wrecks for the business. If you are fortunate you get in wwe or tna or nwa to a minor degree where you get a guarenteed contract and the only way u can make more is by getting noticed and putting yourself out there. Now for the indy feds, you get paid if lucky and dependin on where on the card you are, like 20-50 bucks, which may not even cover the gas it took for you to get there. Being in constant pain and then havin to jump around like you're 20 when your 35-40 will make ya do drugs

UFC Bam Bam versus Kimo

I have to give Bam Bam credit, he put his ass on the line against Kimo. He lost and lost bad! BUT give him credit, one of the very few wrestlers to give it a shot in MMA! ... Danny Hodge would have whipped them all!

I recall when he first started at WWF. The bad ass newcomer was up for grabs by all the present managers - and he ended up bringing in Sir Oliver Humperdink. His tattoed head, luchador style, and business savy will be remembered - or how he dropped Tazz through the ring in ECW.

Somewhere he is wrestling with British Bulldog, Owen Hart, Brian Pillman, Eddie Guerrero, Crash Holly, Pitbull #2, and all commentated by Gorilla Monsoon.
