Bare feet and submission

Does anyone find that going barefoot is a mark of submission? I’ve always found it highly submissive.

In my experience, when I have a tickling session, I prefer administering tickling on feet that are bare. Especially if its more of a "tickle torture" session, with a psychological aspect that makes the lee feel vulnerable. Almost all my lees for tickle sessions are barefoot for the entirety of the session, and all foot tickling administered is on bare skin. Soles/toes/heels/arches, the tickling is applied in all areas of the foot. The lees prefer the feet bare to maximize the intensity of the tickling they are receiving. Some lees admit that they have a more "helpless" and "vulnerable" feeling knowing the tickling they are about to receive is coming- and their feet are bare. I can see how in some instances the ler wearing shoes and the lee have bare feet can be like a power-play dynamic but that's not the case with my partners. The lees are strapped down, and armpits and feet are bare for all the tickling received. That's how we roll. Even the newbies for their first tickling/bondage experience do it barefoot- usually their preference anyway.

I dont get it. At all. Being barefoot is one of the most basic, natural human things out there. How do you associate that with submission? Im not trying to be rude. Just confused is all.

When I think of people choosing to be barefoot or removing their shoes for any number of reasons, to me it says freedom. Shoes are constructing, shoes are required by society for the most part. Ever see those signs: no shoes, no shirt, no service? Someone actively choosing to ignore that and go barefoot is not a submissive act but rather an act of defiance. Being barefoot is also a sign of relaxation or comfort. People typically dont take their shoes off in awkward/weird places where they may feel uncomfortable. So if someone is willing to kick their shoes off, I'm assuming they feel safe or relaxed or whatever.

But yeah, I'm completely lost on the submission thing unless you are thinking about bare feet purely from a tickling mindset and a tickling / fetish mindset only, and view the removal of shoes as one submitting themselves to tickling. Other than that, I see little to no correlation between the two.

To me, in a tickling session if the lee has shoes on when they're tied down when the tickling is about to start, when the ler removes the lees shoes, and render their feet bare, I can see how the lee could suddenly feel submissive given their situation. Tied up, shoes removed and they're nothing they can do to protect their feet from being tickled I could see where they would feel helpless. Just another thing to get in their head.

But I don't see clothes as armor/ protection.

I hate wearing clothes. So the lack of clothing for me, including shoes (which I REALLY HATE) is freedom for me. 😅

My SO is barefoot all of the time, and is very non submissive. She also doesn't let many people touch her feet, or anything else for that matter.

I think that its definitely more of a comfort, and relaxation ploy than any hint for submission.

It would be nice if all of us tickle lovers had some kind of a sign, or wore some sort of symbol to hint to each other that we are tickle or massage lovers as well.
Then again; I'm sure that our little demographic would crowd up, and become chaotic pretty quick.
