Barefoot in public

For the guys into feet, I'm just wondering how far it goes. How do you feel about the idea of your wife or girlfriend being barefoot in public, or wearing revealing footwear? Do you guys ever ever cringe or experience discomfort when your wife or girlfriend shows her bare feet in public? The idea being that you wouldn't want her to bare her breasts in public, and if the sight of a bare female foot excites you like the sight of a bare breast, it seems that some discomfort might be a natural reaction.

It's a question that has no right or wrong answer, just looking for opinions.

When we were younger and first started dating I didn't like it--it felt like she was naked. Over the years, and the many things that have happened, I now love it when she's barefoot anytime others are around, especially in unusual places or at friends' houses. I always catch other guys looking, and even have seen some female friends and strangers looking.

Well I'm single, but I'll add this perspective. When I see a women with bare feet, I treat it like I would breasts or cleavage....meaning I make an effort not to stare or anything. I just feel uncomfortable watching an unsuspecting woman's feet while she's just trying to be comfortable

However, when I did, it never bothered me at all on the occasion she wore revealing shoes in public. I think it stems more from jealousy and your own insecurities if it bothers you. I used to have it bother me, then it just kind of went away and now I love it when my wife is barefoot and wearing sandals.. I dont think there is anything wrong with you for feeling that way.

My first girlfriend as a teenager use to go around barefoot a lot, and in the summer heat use to like to wear halter tops and tease me into tickle attacks. I loved seeing her half naked, and have wished the girlfriends who followed over the years would have been more adventurous.

I'm a (big) fan…hell, i'll even settle for ladies flip flopping' it, when the warm weather hits. I was just sharing with a female friend earlier today (who, btw, is well aware of my thing for the feets, hers included) that i love working outside when the warm weather hits, since there's typically a large collective of visible toes!

And, more to your point D.A.J.T., it doesn't bother me in the least when someone i'm with struts their stuff…i love that too, and think it's fun when i catch fellas (and other ladies, which is even better) lookin'…

I don't have a problem with it. In the relationships I've had, I've never tried to control what my girlfriend wears, since it's her choice. Now, if she asks for advice, usually I just try to be honest about what I think she looks best wearing.

When it comes to footwear, I don't really care what she wears as long as she's comfortable in it.

I rather enjoy it when my wife wears sandels or is barefoot, public or not. Although I can't relate to the barefoot example, I can understand if it bothered someone else if their wife was barefoot in public the same way it would bother me if someone tickled my wife even innocently. It's something that is so personal to me that I feel that I want it to be for me and me alone. I'm not commenting whether it's healthy or not.

A close friend of my brother had a foot fetish back in the 1970s when we were teenagers. He had a beautiful girlfriend whom he eventually married. They began having problems once they started living together because she liked being barefoot around the house and he insisted she "cover up" when people came over. He would become extremely irate when she refused to do this. Ultimately they got divorced.

In my opinion, the guy's problem had little to nothing to do with his foot fetish, but rather an unhealthy possessive attitude about his significant other. It's destructive to a relationship when people regard their significant others (or their body parts) as property of which they claim ownership. I'm going to take a stand and say it's not good.

Part of the appeal is that to many women, and the vanilla public in general, it's that barefeet are not like bare breasts, so the innocence and the fact that women don't realize they're driving us poor foot guys crazy adds to the fun

I remember years ago in San Diego there was an outdoor bar called the "Barefoot Beach Club"(not sure if that was the exact name, where patrons were required to take their shoes off upon entering(my idea of heaven - referring to the women). I'm sure that was designed for atmosphere, not arrousal.

I think it's incredibly sexy, and I can never get enough of barefoot babes in public. I also love when women passengers in cars warm their barefeet in the sun on the dashboard in spring and summer. I have to try extra hard to keep my eyes on the road when driving if I see their adorable soles in my rear view mirror.

I think you've hit the nail firmly on the head right there. When you see barefoot girls in the park or at the beach during the summer, and they often don't know that they're teasing us with their feet, that is a massive part of the fun!

First, I'm not a foot guy, although I will admit that exposure to this forum and the widespread appeal of the female foot here has given me more of an appreciation for the female foot., It has opened my eyes to a form of beauty I likely never would have otherwise considered.

I'm neither a possessive or jealous guy. I have no interest in controlling her attire or claim possession of her body parts. My squeeze and I have been together a long time. We have a connection that is not threatened by others. One time my neighbor's dog got in our back yard causing a commotion, and he came around our enclosed patio and accidently saw my squeeze in nothing but panties. He was clearly embarrassed, but I thought the whole scene was hilarious, like something out of a comedy on TV.

While I'm not possessive, I am however protective. If I sensed that others were making her uncomfortable beyond her considerable ability to deal with it, I'd intervene in a heartbeat.

Shoes are bad for you. They cause a plethora of hip, knee, lower leg, ankle, and foot problems. You have a right to health, and you have a right to take care of your body, so you should have a right to be barefoot anywhere, in the store, at work, ANYWHERE!!!
