Did anybody see his press conference a few days ago? Dear god, what an ass. Through all of this he acts like he is the victim. It's the media's fault. This guy is so arrogant it is unreal. I really enjoy watching shit collapse around him.

Bonds is a miserable piece of shit. He is probably the one player I dislike the most in any sport. I believe he is a bit of a racist, and a definite race-baiter. Bonds milestone is controversial and unpopular because the guy is a prick and an alleged heavy steroid user. A lot of today's sluggers are probably roid heads, but Bonds legacy is not only tainted by drug use but just his personality in general. I find it hard to believe anyone would defend Bonds steroid use (or deny it), considering we are talking about a 40 year athelete putting up these kinds of numbers and actually playing at his peak level in his late 30s/early 40s. I cant think of anyone else who did this in their career.

One thing I do believe is that Bonds is the best player I have ever seen. Cheater or not, he is in the hall of fame easily. His career in Pittsburg was hall of fame worthy and its only what's happened at this stage of his career that really causes me to question the legitimacy of anything he accomplishes today.

I make no secret of being a 100% pure Dodger fan. 😀

Why should I be bitter? Since I was old enough to be aware of baseball (1955 season), the Dodgers have won 6 World Series, and the hated jints have won none. 😛

I recall vividly the late summer of 1973. The race was on by Hank Aaron to surpass Ruth before the season ended. With each passing day, it seemed that he hit another, and another. I remember brutally hot days in late August and early September; the country broiled under a long, oppressive heat wave, in which our air conditioner had conked out and we couldn't get anyone to fix it. My father would come home from work, and the first thing that he said was, "Bad Henry! 693!", or "694", or "695". We felt that, since he was blessed with an injury free career, as well as a career unencumbered by military service, that this was his due, and it was against time that he raced to break Ruth's record by the end of the season, which ultimately did not happen. It finally did happen, on April 8th, 1974, off of Al Downing, in The City Too Busy To Hate, which turned its back on Hank Aaron because his skin was clearly the wrong color.

And now, we have this creep, this charlatan, this reprehensible, miserable fuck, and now he has a chance to do it by the end of this season. My plan is to not watch, to not follow. To ignore. I don't recognize his breaking of any records, especially one that belongs to a man who did it with nothing but his skill and his guile, and to paraphrase Dr. King, the content of his character. He ignored the hundreds of thousands of hate letters threatening his own person, as well as his family if he went through with breaking Babe Ruth's record. Barry Bonds is not worthy. He's a cheating piece of shit. Like I said, I refuse to recognize it, will not pay to watch him in the flesh, and if he's talked about on TV, I'm changing the channel.
