Glad I waited until the pathetic Craig Kimbrel trade to post this.

Anyhow, here are my predictions for the divisions in baseball for 2015, as I do every year. Sorry to be late with this. Had computer issues, as most know.,

So..

NL East.

1. Nationals.

2. Marlins,.

3. Mets,

4. Phillies.

5., Braves. I think with their closer gone, the Braves will be in the NL East cellar.

NL Central.

1,. Cards

2. Cubs.

3. Pirates.

4. Brewers'

5. Reds.

NL West.

1. Padres. (Sorry, mils, I think this deal today gives the Padres a chance to win the West).

2. Dodgers

3. Giants

4. Rockies.

5. Dbacks.

NL Wild Cards. Dodgers and Cubs,

AL East.

1. Red Sox.

2. O's

3. Blue Jays.

4. Yankees

5. Rays.,

AL Central.

1. Tigers

2. White Sox.

3. Indians

4. Royals

5. Twins

AL West,

1. Mariners.

2,. Angels.

3, A's

4. Rangers

5. Astros.

AL Wild Cards. O's and White Sox.

NL Champs. Nationals.

AL Champs. Red Sox.

World Champs.

Nationals. I think they will finally do it this year.

People may disagree, but these are my picks. Part in line with the "Experts", and part my own feeling, after being a baseball fan for 30 years.

Partial selections only below.
NL West: Dodgers
NL Pennant: Dodgers
World Series: Dodgers

Okay, mils, not surprising that you pick the Dodgers to win it all.

WPVI TV in Philly said this morning that they think the Phillies are going to be in the NL East cellar.

Perhaps, before yesterday's Braves trade, I would have agreed with them.

However, the Braves trading the top relief pitcher in baseball, changes my thoughts.

I've heard people talk about this trade making the Braves "better" because of the players they got. I dont agree, at least not in the short term.

I know that the Braves weren't expected to have a playoff spot, or "contend" anyway, even before this trade, but, I still dont like this deal.

My winners (Note: these were my picks before the season started and are not influenced by the current standings.)

NL

East: Nationals
Central: Cardinals
West: Padres
Wild Card: Dodgers, Cubs

AL

East: Red Sox
Central: Tigers
West: A's
Wild Card: Mariners, Yankees

I'm a Braves fan too Mitch, and I don't think the trade was all that bad. They got the Padres top porpsect and San Diego will take on all of Melvin Upton's $15 Million salary. Cameron Maybin has a ton of potential too. I saw him stake batting practice a few years ago when he came to my home town to play in an exhibition game (back when he played for the Marlins) and the dude put on a clinic. Let's see if he can channel that

Just caught this one myself... and yes, if the Braves do anything this year it will be amazing. And, Mils...do you think the Dodgers have a chance? LOL

Soda, the Braves had been playing well until they ran into the Mets this week. I'm waiting to see if the Mets blazing start will continue.

And, Mitch, the past few years the Braves have always started out great, and then..... I'd be happy to be proven wrong this year, and we go all the way. yeh, could happen.....

We'll see, rdhd. Right now, I/ just hope the Mets cool off.

I believe the NL East will go to the Nats, they have a stacked pitching staff and once they get things turned around watch out

NL Central: the Cards, that team is always at the top, even when they shouldn't be. they have the best organization I believe because they develop their own players and make the most out of what money they do spend.

NL West: I'll say the Dodgers because of Kershaw and Greinke

NL Wild Cards: Padres and Cubs

AL East: The Red Sox because that offense is scary good

AL Central: Tigers they have great pitching and a good enough offense to get the job done

AL West: the Oakland A's a team built with young players and solid pitching and a decent pen

AL Wild Cards: O's and Royals
