Baseball Fans.. Have You Ever Been To A Game.. With A Brawl..

For the baseball fans of the forum.. have you been to a game, where there has been a bench clearing brawl?

For me, the answer is yes.

The first one that comes to mind, is a Mets Braves game in 1990. I don't remember the exact circumstances. All I do know is that the Mets and Braves had a fight.

The second one, I remember as if it was yesterday. It was the day before I graduated from college.. May 14, 1994. It was another Mets and Braves game. Mets outfielder Ryan Thompson hit a Grand Slam homer off the Braves John Smoltz. Smoltz was angry, and hit the next guy up, John Cangelosi I believe, and a brawl broke out.

I was also at two other games with brawls. One between the Mets and Cards in 1985 at Shea Stadium. . Cards pitcher Danny Cox hit a batter, George Foster, I believe, with a pitch,. and the benches cleared.

The last brawl I remember was sometime a number of years ago when I lived in PA. I was at a Braves-Phillies game, and they got into a brawl.

Lately, I've been watching Youtube videos featuring baseball teams in brawls. Interesting to watch.

I've probably been to close to a hundred baseball games in my life, but the only legit baseball brawl I've ever seen was the first game I ever attended - O's-Yankees in the 70's. The late Thurman Munson charged the mound after the Orioles starter threw at his head a couple times (Munson did something to p**s off the Birds the night before, but it was so long ago, I can't remember the details)
