Well, although the Yankees and Tampa Bay already played their two game opening series in Tokyo, the regular season starts for other teams tonight. These are my predictions for the 2004 season, with approximate records.

AL East Champion- Yankees- 100-62
AL Central champ- Twins-90-72
AL West - Anaheim- 92-70
AL Wild Card-Red Sox-95-67
NL East Champions-Phillies-95-67
NL Central Champions- Astros barely over Cubs with about 95-67 this race could be very close as both teams are immensely talented.
NL West- Giants-97-65
This next one may be considered by some baseball fans as playing favorites, but I think that if the NL Central race isnt as close as some think, that my Braves will win about 90 games and sneak into the wild card. Atlanta has lost a lot, but Bobby Cox knows how to maximize what he is given. If JD Drew hits 25-30 homers, and the rotation is solid, I think Atlanta definitely has a shot for the wild card. Many say they will finish third or fourth with 85 wins or less. I think they can win 90, but we'll see.

Anyhow, so those are my picks. Play Ball!, and let's have a great season. Iam going to Citizens Bank Park on May 30th to see the Braves and Phillies, and I cant wait to see the new place. I saw it on TV yesterday, and it looks amazing.

God forbid! 😀 😛

LOL! Sorry, Mil, but for the Dodgers to win, they have to post batting averages far above that of Fran Healy.

I think this is the year the Cubs do it. I think Clemens and Pettite will not enjoy the success they had in NY with a less talented batting order and not having Marianio Rivera closing out games. The Cubs have two of the best pitchers in the game today in Wood and Prior and if Sammy is Sammy, they should win.

All I know is that the Mets pitching is too weak to compete for the post season. Cameron was a good signing and will save some hits and runs but I don't like the move moving Reyes to 2B. Matsui has been hurt all spring and has an OBP of only .227 UGH!! Note to Howe, move Piazza to 1B. The guy can't throw out my grandmother trying to steal.
