Doesn`t it seem like baseball players take a far worse '' beating '' in the media about illegal substances than guys in pro football do?
Football players get suspended for 4 games then come back and rarely does anyone ever even bring it up. Where with MLB guys it seems as if it will ruin that players career or at least tarnish it significantly.
My feeling as to why that is so is because baseball is the ULTIMATE numbers driven game and the big records are such a part of the fabric of baseball. IT also seems like we almost expect football players to try to get an advantage because the game is so much more physical.
Does baseball get a bad rap where football seems to almost get a free ride in the eyes of the media
