Yankees who had a red hot start, even though they are down three games to none, one loss away from going down.. would need to come back from a Three Game To None Lead in the ALCS to the Astros To Avoid Going Down.
While we know about the Astros past character.. I truly hope that the Astros beat the Philles, if the Phillies make it to the World Series , which seems like it could happen, as the Phillies are ahead three games to one in the NLCS to the Padres.
Once the Braves lost the NLDS to the Phillies on October 15, I have wanted a Padres-Astros World Series.
It could still happen, but the Padres would need to come back from a three game to one deficit in the NLCS for it to happen. Very long odds, even though it did happen , but it did in 2020, when a certain team from Georgia which I root for blew a three games to one lead to a certain team from California which my good friend milagros roots for, came back from a three game to one deficit in the NLCS that year.
