Hey He man. I had a problem with the Glasses thing too. Also, in Batman Returns, when he slips up near the elevator and says something that, I forget the lind, but it is something that would give away that he was Batman to Michelle Pfeifer. Batman would never do that. Bruce Wayne is in control of everything in his life. Even his movements as Batman are minimal and the correct move to do for the given task. Batman is not wastefull in anything he does,a dn becasue of this, he knows he is right in what he is doing, and therefor perceived as a control freak. And he will use whatever he has to to get the job done, even if it is at the stake of ruining a friendship. This is a recurring arguement between Bruce and Dick Grayson. It is also the thing that eventually ends their friendship. This is one of the few things that actually gets to Bruce as Dick is like a brother to him. They argue like brothers. All of the other Robins, even Batgirl, is just a team member. But Dick was family. He basically runs a tight ship. And as Bruce Wayne, every move is calculated to give the air if a spoiled, selfish billionaire who is living life just to have a good time. That is purposely to distance himself from the Batman personae. Even the image of sleeping around is another tool he uses. He usually disapears before he actually does the dirty deed, which is a repuatation that he has with the women he has dated. The only woman he really cared about was Selina Kyle as it is the only person that he can have any affinity with. She is a female version of him. She is no nonsense like he is. They are both objective oriented people. Also, Bruse is Batman, and Bruce Wayne is the mask he puts on. These are things that I think were missing in the previous movies. The first one has the suit as the Batman personae. The suit is just another tool he uses to obtain his objective-to put fear into people. He doesn't have superpowers, and he is just a man. So fear is the only thing he really has going for him. The films never got into this. I mean he has put so much fear into criminals that some ofc them piss their pants just seeing his shadow behind them. I am hoping this film is the one that shows that. Also, and it was only realy shown in Batman Forever, Batman is not soley a Highly trained Ninja. He is considered one of the brightest analytical minds on the planet akin to only Sherlock Holmes. he can walk into a room and spot the thing that everyone is missing to figure out who is doign the crime. And he is a genious who can deduce things. I am hoping this is in the movie too. The closest I think they ever came to the real Batman is the Animated Series.
And that last point of him slamming people into walls and peopel talking when he growls is what makes Batman Batman. The time I really think they got that right in the Animated Series is the Batman/Superman Movie. Everytime he enters lexs apartment he backhands Mercy, without even looking at her, just as she is about to try to get the jump on him. It is like swatting at a nat. They show it the first time. The second time you just see her knocked out in a corner. That is the Batman I want to see. The interogating someone and backhanding someone without even looking at them at the same time.
