Recently, while tweaking the proportions of a character's head, I accidentally ended up with something strikingly similar to the tongues you see here. I've included floating hands or gloves in my scenes before, but I had never found a way to do the same with tongues that actually looked good—so you can imagine my surprise when I practically nailed it by sheer mistake.
I have mixed feelings about using this kind of resource in a scene. On one hand, it takes away some realism, but on the other, I’m pretty sure that in this case, for example, you’d prefer these views over the back of two complete body characters blocking the camera. 😉
