Before the internet.

Before the internet, what was the first letter you read in an adult magazine that made you realize you were not alone in this great world of tickling. For me, I was about 17 and found a letter in a Penthouse mag and in the forum section found a letter that wasn't titled with the word "tickling" but I found it had to do with a high school student who was fasinated with tickling his art teacher who he described as a beautiful light complected black female with pretty feet. He first worked up enough nerve to tickle her feet with a paint brush while she had them propped up on her desk and she told him she liked it but done in a different way. She invitedhimto stay after school the next day where she had him tie her hands behind her back and to a chair and her bare feet to another chair and told him to tickle her feet as long as he liked and not to stop even if she begged him to. On another occassion, she had him put peanut butter on her soles and had him lick her soles clean which sounded like it drove her crazy. Don't know if he made this up or not but it was real enough for me. I remember being so exited that I was trembling while reading the story (over and over again). That led me on a search for more letters of which I found in the form of a small mag called I think, Human Digest, which had several great stories involving women being tickled.
For it was Leg Show. I went to an adult store when I was 18. Looking to buy a video as a gag gift for a friends birthday. I was looking to get one of those large woman sex videos to give him and while looking through the store I cam across an open copy of Leg Show. It was the first publication which touched on all the foot related things that I was interested in. I haven't read one in years, might have to pick a Leg Show up soon.

"Play it again Sam"

Here's a repeat of a post I submitted in 2007, and some additional comments:

"When I was about 14 (in 1957), I was at a buddy's house and we went out to the garage, where his older brother had stored a bunch of magazines. Among them was one called "Sure Fire Detective Stories". In the contents of this pulp mag was a story entitled "Tickled to Death".

Intrigued, I turned to the story and read it hurriedly. By today's standards it was rather tame, but at the time it was more than enough to light my fuse. It was basically the description that has been endlessly repeated over the years...a woman tied to her bed and tickled by a man with a feather. He mostly tickled her feet, but near the end came the suggestion that much more was in store for her. The story didn't even say that she was nude, but as I replayed the scene in my head, she was always nude, spread, and ready for all over tickling. It was the first time I had ever seen anything related to tickling in print, and the mental images that short story produced have stayed with me for over 50yrs."

Years later, in the early 1970's (still pre-internet) I came across a porno novel entitled "The Blackmailed Bride" by Peter Jensen. In it was a much more graphic description of the scene described above. After finding that, I spent endless hours in book shops and discovered that the porn of that period had many short references to tickling, almost always M/F. Then, as others have pointed out, some of the popular mags picked up on the slow but steady increase of public interest in tickling.

Soon I am going to be selling my valuable collection, and it is a good one...trust me. Anyone interested, hit me up.

peace out,
daddy

Howard Stern. I saw the Christmas Tickle episode. The idea of "fetish" was unknown to me. Guy brings in 3 strippers that he says he'd filmed before for a tickling video.

Tickling video? What bliss! What wonderment! How do I find it?

So, I was driven to the internet to find it. Which is not exactly pre-internet overall, but pre-internet for me.

penthouse, hustler, one of those mags in the letters section. a man wanted anal sex with his wife, and the only way she would do it was if he held her down on the bed and tickled her for a while first. not too long after that i stumbled across a magazine called 'legs' which had pics of legs and bare feet. every now and then there would be a story about feet tickling.

Not Really a magazine, but I crash on a first edition of "The sex life of the foot a and shoe"by DPM W.A.Rossi. The whole book was a revelation, about feet. And It made me feel better as a teenager. Later I saw the tickling scene with Capucine in "North to Alaska" and I loved it.
But only with the TMF (i.e., internet) I really realized that there is nothing special about tickling is just a taste like any other.

Penthouse? Teacher? FAKE! 🙂

At that point in time, Penthouse was the only magazine that consistently
had a tickling story in their Forum. Considering the lack of material elsewhere,
it didn't matter if it was fake or not...
