Being asked about tickling by a 'vanilla'

As a ler, I do not get tickling related questions often. However, I was wondering if others did, either as lers or lees.

What I am wondering is if, as a 'tickling efficianado', you ever are asked questions by vanillafolk about tickling, or if tickling ever comes up in conversation, when the person who is talking has NO IDEA that you are into tickling.

What kind of questions have been asked, or what kind of conversations have taken place? Did you out yourself? Did you brush it off?

I used to be friends with a very attractive girl who, whenever she saw someone tickled even for a moment, would start talking about how incredibly ticklish she was (this girl was the most ticklish person I've ever met), how her feet were especially sensitive, and then she would often describe a time she was tickled. I would occasionally ask a question or make a comment but often just sit there dumbfounded, or prepare some chloroform (joking, people).

I've had another vanilla friend randomly ask whether the fact that I'm quite ticklish has ever been a problem while making out with a girl.

Then there was the girl who, after I jokingly threatened to tickle her (we were at work so I wasn't going to do it) came out with "That's ok, I like being tickled because I feel good after it". Later I told here that I enjoyed it too, and being the gentleman that I am, I helped her out.

I generally come across as some weird enigma with strange habits to most people in real life so the subject never gets touched. And if it does I mumble something like "mmkay, mbrmbmmmrmrm." and that's that.

It's not often I get asked questions in regards to tickling but my response depends on who asks the question.If it's a guy I will blow it off right away.If it's a girl,I will stretch the conversation out in an attempt to discover her thoughts on the subject.I won't confess right away to having a full blown tickling fetish but I will make it apparent that I have an interest in it.

I try to avoid talking about tickling with vanilla people as much as possible, particularly close friends. My vanilla best friend knows about the TMF and all our shenanigans, so she asks me questions about it fairly often, and about kink in general. I don't mind answering her questions, but otherwise, no me gusta.

Oh I totally out myself all the time when it comes up. I don't make a big deal out of it though. I usually just say, "That is so sexy" or something along those lines. If someone questions further I say, "yeah, tickling totally sets the tone and helps us with developing intimacy".

The reason I do this so light heartedly is because I'm not into like hardcore, tickle someone in order to show dominance over them type thing. (Well, every now and then that can be fun). I kinda view tickling/feet as a way of being closer and sharing something with someone else because it is very personal to me (even if I am getting my rocks off as some prudes call it). Sexuality, by its very nature, is something very personal and intimate, so you need someone you can trust, is non-judgmental and willing to relate with you on your own level. This doesn't mean it develops into a relationship or I'm interested in having one w/them. Its just a way of saying I want to share something with you... me.

I had a real awkward situation awhile back. I was about two weeks into a new job and I was hanging out with a bunch of guys at lunch. We were all artists and somehow the conversation got around to art forums, and then deviantart.com, and then weird deviantartists. Apparently before I had joined the company they had all found a deviant art page of all tickling fanart. I think it also happened to be highly sexual m/m furry tickling art. I was forced to sit there through a solid ten minute discussion of how weird this artist was and who could ever find tickling sexual? I think I managed one or two "...hehe...yeah.....weird" comments before someone mercifully changed the subject.

I've mentioned it to various people - usually if someone's tickling me and I tell them to "stop!". When they ask why, I tell them that it turns me on - which either means that they'll stop and leave it at that, or they'll carry on.

I was talking to a 'nilla friend (one of the girls I worked with at the Nightclub) about the BDSM scene recently, and she asked what kinks I had. When I replied "tickling", she found the mental picture she generated very amusing, but wasn't freaked out about it at all.

I dunno, I guess I've just been lucky.
