I always wonder, do you think there are other massive adult communities like this one, only where people have other unusual fetishes, like clowns, and balloons, and doorknobs? Just a daft question that sometimes occurs to me. I'd be curious to know if there are any, or whether TT is some sort of natural phenomenon.

I suppose there could be. Tickling may be "unusual" but I think it's pretty populated compared to stuff like, say, ballooons...yeah...thats a real fetish....

There are definitely massive foot fetish communities around. Many of our members also frequent such forums...I know nothing beyond that, though. Like the TickleTheater, Tickling Media Forum, and other TK forums, one tends to find such a niche fetish forum only if one actively seeks it out and enjoys said fetish.

I went home for my 5 year high school reunion over this past thanksgiving break (ignore my youth...I try to...), and happened upon a bunch of my old classmates at the local watering hole...one of whom, a gal we'll call Jill, was a cheerleader back in high school--gorgeous, popular, stayed with mostly the other cheerleaders, etc...you know the type...well, let's just say we were cool but never really ran in the same circles...and we started talking, she introduced me to her boyfriend...I asked how they met--turns out, she's got a MAJOR BDSM fetish...and met her long term boyfriend on the site!!! She turned BEET red when she told me, and I said, "Hey...don't be embarrassed about that--you two both know exactly what you want, and you went out and found it...you'll both be much happier in the long run...no shame!!!" And proceeded to tell her that I'm a bit involved in the fetish scene in my city...etc, etc, etc...a fabulous story if I ever heard one!!! So there are in fact sites for everything out there...I just don't think that most have the numbers we do here...or the quality of members, if I do say so myself...😉

I know Sploshing has a site...and I assume that most folks nowadays, with the advent of the internet, who have some sort of fetish, no matter how obscure, have some sort of online community...I'm going to do some searching on this one!!!! Now I'm intrigued!!!!

I hope anyone with a unique fetish has someplace to talk about it and find like-minded people...I know how fortunate we all are to have TT...here's hoping other folks have someplace as well!!!! 😀

Apparently, there used to be a site that detailed a HUGE database of fetishes around the web. One fetish that stuck in my mind was -and I shit you not- women stepping on live hamsters in high heels.

I had no idea what sploshing was either, so I googled it. Turns out that "Sploshing is all about getting messy: rolling around in food, mud, and other wet, gooey substances." The example they give is a woman getting hit in the face with a pie. For some reason, I don't imagine that their community would be as large as ours. This is an interesting question though, and one that I've thought about quite a few times in the past. How big is the tickling community in relation to some of the other fetishes. I know we're behind the hardcore bdsm and foot fetishes, but beyond that I am clueless to where we are in the big picture. I mean, the community is pretty darned big. We have over 10,000 members here at TT. Definitly not a very big number in relation to say, the population of the USA, but I just imagine that there are tens of thousands of people out there that don't go online or don't register. Wouldn't it be grand if it turned out 1 in 20 people had a tickling fetish? That would certainly ease a lot of the self consciousness that most of the people in the community seem to have. It would make for an awesome party too! There are a ton of fetishes out there, and I'm glad I got stuck with one of the tamer ones. I mean, look at CSI on any given night. You can find some messed up stuff there.

what the hollywood brother wonders with other fetishes is how similar they are to ours. What the hollywood brother means is if you look at the bdsm scene you have tops and bottoms. Well guess what the hollywood brother is no big (old school sanford and son reference for comedy) dummy. A top can also be a master or a tickler while a botttom is also a sub or a ticklee. The point is it seems that many of these fetishes have a lot to do with trust between two people, love and a fair amount of surrender one's own control to there partner as a sing of trust and love.

Ditto; as fetishes communities go, tickling and foot or bodypart fetishes aren't really that strange imho either. There are other online communities that are far less widely known about and far less tolerated, too (such as one foot fetish site I can't mention here, but which I'm a mod on...)
