Think I've asked this before, sort of.
Fave cartoons from your childhood that you'd still watch now. there'se two for me that I'll always watch and try to get all the DVDs for.

here they are in reverse order.

1) Count Duckula

2) Inspector Gadget (the original cartoons!!!! Not the live action or the later cartoons!)

So what did you all watch?

I still like Bugs Bunny =) And of course the Peanuts with Charlie Brown 🙂

1. Rocky and Bullwinkle. Lots of hip humor that went right over my head as a child. ("It's the ruby yacht of Omar Khayam!") Wonderfully daffy artwork, even if the animation was limited. And the cast! June Foray, William Conrad, Edward Everett Horton, and the magnificent Paul Frees as Boris. ("Is Potsylvanian Equalizer, honyeybunch!")

2. Tom and Jerry. Wonderfully kinetic slapstick. Tom had the second funniest bellow of pain I've ever heard, after Oliver Hardy. This was my father's favorite cartoon series, as well; when Tom would "walk" on his buttcheeks, Dad would laugh so hard I thought we might lose him.

3. All the Looney Tunes, of course. Of the recurring characters, my favorite has always been Foghorn Leghorn. ("PAY...I say, pay ATTENTION, son! I keep PITCHING 'em and you keep MISSING 'em! Boydoesn'tlistentoawordyousay.")

The first Space Ghost. Not the crap that came out in the late or early eighties.

The early Superfriends that came out about the early seventies.

Speed Racer. You can get it on DVD of course, but nothing was better then coming home from school, turn on the new cable, one of the first on my street, and watch it around 4 in the afternoon.

All the early Hannah- Barbera toons on a Saturday morning. Realy, all the late sixties and early seventies toons. Oh and some Groovie Ghoulies and other related toons like Archie from that toon company I cant remember Its name. The last toon I really enjoyed was Ren and Stimpy. I loved it,with back in the day background music and sounds.

"Rocky & Bullwinkle"
"The Flintstones" - The Early episodes, before Barney's voice changed and Pebbles and BamBam arrived.
"The Amazing Spiderman and Friends" - with Iceman and some chicky-babe
"Dungeons & Dragons" where the kids were warped into the D&D world via an amusement park ride. Did they ever get home before the series ended?
"Tom & Jerry" - The old ones with the funky soundtrack
"Looney Tunes" - before Mel Blank died
.
.

OMG i loved duckula too, but in spanish it was "el conde patula"
-TMNT
-transformers(the 1st ones form the 80's not all the crappy remakes)
-he-man(also the original)
-thundercats
-g.i.joe
-voltron
-captain harlock or raymar i dont know how u call it in the states

ninja turtles, the first few seasons

sure, it had its many slipups and generally strayed away from the original comic which is an understatement and a half(shell)

but

IT BROUGHT US IRMA X_X

hail irma

Not Bird, Not Plane or even Frog...

...my favorite has to be: Underdog!

I even have the DVD with the Ticklefeather Machine episode. (Simon says...LAUGH!)

Others: Rocky & Bullwinkle
Tennesee Tuxedo
All the Looney Tunes
Go Go Gophers

Count Duckula

Danger Mouse

The original Inspector Gadget I think that dog Brain was smarter than Gadget

The original Looney Toons

The Spiderman series from the late 60's-I think thet still may be available on DVD

hmmmmm.....

The first incarnation of the ninja turtles before they turned into robots or went into space or whatever the hell they did after the shark leap.
The oooold scooby doo reruns. That's BEFORE Scrappy, BEFORE Vincent Price, and BEFORE all the ghosts/monsters/aliens were real.
Grah...out of time...I'll think of more later.

My all time favourite is the EXO Squad where mankind is at war with their own creation meant for slave labour - the Neo Sapiens.

It was the first cartoon I saw without the cliche cartoon logic where the good guys are bullet proof and the bad guys, no matter how well prepared, will always lose in the end. Also, entire fortress bases do not blow up simply because a control panel is destroyed.

Grendizer/Goldrake. First ever anime I've been exposed to.
Close second Mazinger and Jeeg - again, japanese stuff from Go Nagai.
MS Gundam. Recently got the get the whole series. Love the fansubs...

Can't recall anything western.
Doesn't bide well...

😀

Gummi Bears. I loved that when I was a kid - still do, actually... 🙂 Also, Fox's "Peter Pan and the Pirates".

I BET HE WATCHED 'EM IN BLACK & WHITE, TOO.......

From The 1960's: Astro Boy, My First Anime Exposure, And Johnny Quest, An Adventure Cartoon.

You are thinking of "Spiderman & his Amazing Friends".

It featured Spiderman, Iceman (from the X-men comics) and the chicky-babe, named Firestar.

In the cartoon, Firestar could fly, and shoot fire from her hands, and leave a trail of flame behind her when she flew. She became very popular, so Marvel decided to introducer her into their comic line. They changed her powers slightly, so she wouldn't be a knock off of "The Human Torch" and turned her into a mutant who could control and emit blasts of microwave energy.

The first pic is how she appeard in the cartoon. The second, how she appeard in the comics.

Ok, let's see, in no particular order:
Transformers (Original and Beast Wars tie)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
X-Men (So it didn't follow the comics to the letter. It was still a really well made cartoon that showed a maturity that's lacking in a lot of cartoons today. It showed that heroes aren't invincible and have to face their share of trials and tribulations too.)
Spider-Man (Many of the same reasons.)
Just to name a few 🙂

I'll go with that - I liked watching the Care Bears. Ah, the memories. 🙂

I had a lot of My Little Pony toys but I didn't watch it really. Though I do remember having a movie of some sort that they made.

<_<

>_>

Also...when I was very small, Rainbow Brite.

Yeah, Rainbow Brite here too. Our parents were lazy, so my older sister and I watched all the same cartoons, even though they were mostly decidedly masculine or feminine. We've still got all our old tapes of those kiddy proggies - Gummi Bears, Care Bears, My Little Pony, Rainbow Brite, He-Man, Thundercats, Visionaries, Get-Along Gang...

And yes, there is a MLP movie - there's a copy of it lying at the bottom of a pile of vids in my room, I believe....
