Anything by Tammi Hoag (I highly recommend Night Sins and Guilty As Sin read in that order)

OR Michael Slade a group of forensic psychologists from Vancouver. Their books are chilling!

Tron

I happen to be watching one right now.......

The Bourne Identity (first version) with Matt Damon.

The way the plot works from beginning to end works for me.

Oh, and anything by Alfred Hitchcock-he was the master!😀

'Valentine' by Tom Savage. The movie totally SUCKED!!!

'SAW'
'Se7en'

Se7en by far is the best, because after you watched it, you got into a serious debate with people whether Brad Pitt should've killed him and complete his masterpiece. Hell, its been about 10 years since it came out, and people are still talking about it😀

I'm totally with Natural Tickler on his opinion of se7en... that movie haunted me.

Has anyone out there seen Event Horizon?? I slept with my lights on for over a week! My boyfriend at the time actually asked me if I needed to leave the theatre because he was worried about me, I was SOOOO scared... anyone else think this of it?

1959 B/W movie...

THE TINGLER

Starring Vincent Price

"... Ladies and gentlemen, please do not panic but SCREAM ! SCREAM FOR YOUR LIVES !!!!

Originally Brad Pitt's characeter was supposed to shoot him. They shot the scene and it is in the deleted scenes or alternate section on the se7en DVD. Fincher went back and reshot the scene that is now in the movie.

I saw that buggs, but they should've kept the scene that he didn't shoot him in the movie. That would've been perfect for a sequel to maybe the masterpiece does get completed😀

I think Tron was referring to books when he started this thread, though I could be mistaken...

In terms of books, I'll echo Ovda on "Valentine" by Thomas Savage. The movie DID suck horrendously, but the book was an incredibly tingling page turner.

Another favorite of mine is "The Lazarus Heart" by Poppy Z. Brite. It's part of "The Crow" collection, and is such an emotional and amazing piece of fiction. Truly breath-taking (but considering the story revolves around a male homosexual couple into EXTREME BDSM, it's NOT for everyone).
