Best story genre?

I've been thinking of writing a little for the story section. I haven't written a tickle story since some sort of competition for the Tales From the Asylum mag a few years back. I think it was for the Nylon Dungeon series.

I have plenty of little fantasy scenarios, but I can always write for me. I wanna write for others, so I'd like to know what kind of stories people like to read. More of a real life/erotic, fantasy/sci-fi, gothic horror, etc. I'm not one for m/m stuff, but I can try my hand at most other things, as long as they're not too x-rated. Doesn't leave enough for the imagination, and thus is not me. I like a tickle story to tease with words...adds to the atmos. 🙂

Spot on. I think the majority of us prefer reading something that we can see ourselves being a part of but thats totally fabricated at the same time, ya know? Lol. Anything with a kind of fantasy/adventure vibe gets me reading 😀

I'm quite partial to the more "out there" stories as well (like the sci-fi and fantasy ones), although if it's well-written and fun then the "genre" doesn't matter much. It's not like I'm reading it to further my understanding of English Literature, na'meeeeeean? >_<

The more realistic the better for my taste. Though I will occassionally enjoy other things, my fav is something that I can picture actually taking place. I also enjoy mood, setting and character development...painting a picture with words as it were. If I gain an interest in the characters, I'll enjoy what they're doing more.

Another thought... When I write, I find that I do my best work when it's something that I'm interested in and enjoying myself. I used to do some story requests. But, if I wasn't really into what the person wanted, it showed.

if the story is fantasy or sci-fi I can't take it seriously. it has to be a situation I'm able to see myself in. something that is actually possible in real life..

then I like a lot of informations about the characters (of course not way too many details) but enough to make you feel you get to know the characters.

This sounds perfect to me! Just make sure that you lose the slippery nylon no-show running sockses sometime during the story! I want the feet bare! I like sole skin!

Oh, and some very tight bondage would make the story more to my liking. Make sure her toes are tied back so maximum tickling can be done to her soles.

I'd like to see more */f though 😀 it's an underrated genre for sure. Fantasy (especially medieval and/or unrealistic ones are cool too, especially if the author is creative. In fact, just creativity period is awesome. And some variety in how the people look; I like to be able to imagine who's doing what in the stories

EG - "She had dark blue-grey eyes, with her pin-straight brown hair that only accentuated her prominent nose and ridiculous cheekbones." guess who that's describing 😛

But srsly, can't you imagine that better than "she was 5'9 with a perfect 36 - 24 - 36 body and flowing blonde hair." And isn't that infinately more awesome? 😡 *explodes* I have such high standards for my porno stories... 😛 But seriously. Being able to picture it/understand it = x10 of the sexiness 😀 )

Oh oh oh, and constantly inserting

And you forgot to list the best attributes of that, uh, mystery woman, such as "her pale pink lips, accentuated by the greater paleness of her alabaster skin, which in turn brought out the shine of enthusiasm and love of life to those same topaz eyes."

Give her some credit, she's cute. 🙂

For the more intense stories, I love to see the cracking of a person, turning them threadbare and almost too aware but unaware in a simultaneous manner.

I just love raw, sexual energy. I like to read/write what I would love to do to a woman in my clutches.

Also try not to overdo describing your 'lees every physical attribute; it blunts the magic because it removes a reader's ability to use their imagination when it comes to dreaming up how he/ she looks, and it also makes the story seem like an exercise in personal catharsis for the author. Which, believe it or not, are not very entertaining to read.

I will concede this, but I often find that adding just ONE unusual physical description to a character adds a lot of depth. The whole "blonde hair -insert measurements and/or weight and height here-" thing is just...meh.

I think my assessment might be a bit skewed, so I will clarify.

I'm huge on psychology and the mindset of the principle players in a story. Any kind of story. I think that helps the reader better understand what is going on and why characters react.

In a tickling story, I believe something is on the line. There is a sense that you have someone being taken to a physical and mental limit. If someone were to have you tied up, and was trying to put you through the rigors of mixture between soft tickling along with more intense prodding, you might keep saying for it to stop, or you would love it, or you would do as you do.

But in many settings, the idea of tying someone up and tickling them, especially in a situation that is proposed, is to pop off something to the point where the person being tickled is a mess. Physically, they are completely spent. Mentally, their brain is in knots. Everything is out of place. Things are skewed.

If someone has you trapped (someone you trust, of course), and they are just teasing you through orgasms, or constantly leaving you on the edge...yeah.

I think that's more what I want to get across. Get to the point where the release and the play and all of it is too much and it slams together in a manner which shakes the person or the characters to their very limit.

And I say you as in the rhetorical, female you.
