Blazers and Raptors Trade (Rumor mill)

Blazers: Vince Carter and Jalen Rose

for

Raptors: Shareef Abdur-Rahim,Derek Anderson,and Vladimir Stepania



Do you think it will happen? and If it does who do think gets the better deal?


I'm about 50/50 on weather or not it will happen. I hear Espn people and sports casters say that thier is a big chance that it will. But if it does happen and i think really both teams will benefit from the trades.

The Blazers will get Half Man Half Amazing 😀 in Carter and a great defender (even still for his age) and pretty key shooter at times in Jalen Rose.

And the Raptors will get a great defender in Shareef and a pretty crunch time shooter in Anderson. So really both teams (if the deal does go down and take place) are getting good trades on both sides.

Ok...you have struck home here Blackmoon. I say...DO THE DEAL...for the Blazers sake. I love Derek Anderson, but he is aging and injury plagued. I must admit he contributes greatly when he plays, but...the Blazers need a player to build the team around and I think Vince would be a breath of fresh air. We use to think it was Pippen that could do it, and we got close...but Pippen was injured all the time and did not have the fire that he use to have. I dig the addition of Van Exel and Randolf is having another great season (hence tonight vs the Magic...two road wins on this trip so far) The only thing I worry about is the center presence if we lose Shareef. Even so, the blazers are still only playing .500 ball and that is not acceptable in Blazermania land. Time for a big change.

Dude...I have been there since season number 1 believe it or not. I even went to all the home games, one road game and all playoff games and one championship game in 77...what a lucky strike ehhh? The year they won it all vs Philly and Dr. J...Then I went to Blazer summer camp that year and met Maurice Lucas, Bob Gross, Jack Ramsey and Walton. Still have all the old programs, media guides, schudules, etc....so if ya ever wanna talk Blazers, just give me a buzz man!!!

Once again...do the trade!!!

Yeah i say do the Trade as well daddy. But i over heard on a Basketball forum online that i was browsing last night http://www.basketballboards.net that since the Trade Rumor got leaked all over that Milwaukee might be in the hunt for Vince Carter and Jalen Rose now. I don't see that happening though because really the Milwaukee Bucks don't have any real good players on thier team besides Michael Redd,Desmond Mason, and Keith Van Horn.

But if the deal does get done (which i'm really hoping that it does). I wonder if Jalen Rose will see very much playing time? I'm sure he will because he is a very good defender and pretty decent shooter.

I just really wish though that the Blazers would have made a little bit more moves in the off season (like most NBA teams did) by adding key players on there roaster that would help them out come playoff time down the road.
