The Portland Trailblazers are threating to sue if any team signs Darius Miles, what do you guys think about that?
 
I think that's kinda stupid. That is up there with BC firing there coach Jeff J for simply interviewing with the Jets. It sounds like a really really bad move.

cant blame them for that its good that a school finally stood up for itself and did that .. in college coaches sign contracts for 10 yrs and then leave 12 games later i was glad a school said no and they didnt let that happen...

im also with the blazers on this the only reason they let him go was because they were told his career was over. and if he went to play somewhere else they still have to pay him and it would ruin their ability to sign free agents for the next 2 seasons
 
That coach came from the NFL and always had had intentions of returning. Which if I remember the AD knew about. I think it speaks highly of a school knowing they can say that our coaches have come from and do go to the NFL. I think that this case was just an AD who was upset and in my opinion it really back-fired on him.

thats a double standard tho it doesnt matter where he comes from.. the schools catch shit if they fire someone before their contract is up but coaches are allowed to sign contracts and leave as they please .. i think not
 
You bring up a good point. Maybe he did do the right thing. It's tough to say unless you are the one in that position because we might not know all the facts.
