Well- I guess I'm on a roll with reviews.I was perusing some new films over on AEBN a few days ago, and something that rarely ever happens happened- I saw a good Calstar release!!!!!!!!!
Anyway- Blind Date Tickle has the premise of the popular low rent (game or reality?) show from television. Pleasingly enough, the premise in kept short and incidental, rather than so many of the notorious Calstar releases that are essentially atrociously bad community theater with some equally badly acted tickling scenes.
Two other elements seperate this from traditional Calstar- first- the model ( mid 30's to early 40's blonde girl, who actually seems to really enjoy getting tickled) is sincerely ticklish..........secondly, the tickler (20's guy with cornrolls) is a respectable tickler. Playful yet intense in parts, generally the rapport between the two makes the video watchable without endless fast forwarding. I like his technique, with lots of humor, fake-outs, etc- without being too playful to elicit the reactions we want to see.
The standard switching positions take place a few times, personally I never need to see much other than spread eagle- occassionally a hogties. The old "tied -to -a -chair" bit never does it for me- regardless of the producer. I also think that the manner in which a ticklee reacts - that makes each of us enjoy the reactions- is very subjective to each of us; but personally I would enjoy tickling the girl in this film. She had cute feet as well, for those of you who are interested.
I also watched part of T+T 17 for the first time in years-have to say the brunette in the last scene of that gets it good, top shelf for Calstar..
So- I think all Calstar films are overpriced- but I would buy this if I saw it at a good price somewhere. For those who are familiar with AEBN- give it a look- I enjoyed it and would recommend it- it falls in with only about 5 other Calstar releases (out of the many )I would watch or even own.
