bmp pics won't up load

This may be along the line of the pic conversion thread. It seems that I can not up load bmp pics anymore when posting. jpeg works fine. My bmp pics are 400k or less. Could it be something I mistakenly touched on my end causing them not to upload?

You should consider converting the bitmaps to JPEG, GIF or PNG format. BMP format pictures, especially those in the Windows bitmap format, are often problems for others to view. http://media-convert.com/ is the site I gave TTD and I suggest it again here. If you still want to upload BMP images, however, check the 'real' size. Right-click on the image and select "Properties". See two different file sizes in the window that appears? See a higher value in parentheses to the right? That's the real size of the file. If that is above or close to 400 KB the image will likely not upload and you'll need to resize it.

Thanks HDS! I went to that site and converted a few pictures to see what would happen. They posted fine. I'll take your advice and check the real size. I have a resize program that should take care of the problem from now on. Thanks again!
