Ok this is a new all time low that some Republicans are stating..Obama born not in the US but in the "slums of Kenya" to quote G. Gordon Liddy???? Does not he and the rest that believe this atrocity not realize that Obama's credentials were severely studied when he submitted his application for President? According to said Liddy, this was a conspiracy, dating back to the time Obama was born..that his parents made a new birth certificate, stating he was born in Hawaii, knowing that forty eight years later he would run for President..i mean come on now..Who in their right mind..or who has any intelligence whatsoever is going to believe this right wing conspiracy...Are they still so threatened by a black man as our President? If he were indeed born in Kenya..and was never naturalized as a US citizen..then he must be deported back...

This is something beyond comprehension to me..that they would stoop to such new lows..G.Gordon.Liddy couldn't even make eye contact with Chris Matthews when he discussed this issue today..

Everyone's welcome to their own perception, but there's a lot of evidence to support that theory. The "that's just ridiculous" argument doesn't carry a lot of weight. And it hardly has anything to do with the fact that he's black. If he's not a citizen, that's an issue.

If it were such an obvious and simple issue, he would be able to say "here's my paperwork". The fact that neither he, nor anyone else, can produce these papers is at the heart of the argument.

The supreme court, which is the only conservative branch of the Federal government, has stated it would not hear claims about Obama being a secret foreigner.

Obama was born in Honolulu. This has been confirmed by the Hawaii Health Department.

This kind of bullshit would happen to any president if they were non-white and had an immigrant parent. Fact remains the same, he's a US citizen.

If you don't agree with his policies, that's fine, but don't make up wide-eyed claims or believe others who do.

If your parents are stationed in the military overseas at a military site (as the Panama Canal Zone was at that time, before Jimmy Carter gave it away to Panama), you are on US soil, and anyone born to military or civilian personnel stationed there (provided the parent(s) are US Citizens) are considered US citizens by birth. I had a classmate that was born while her parents were stationed in Germany, and she was a US citizen.

Pays to pay attention in social studies/civics when you're in school...

I never watch Fox (bad for my blood pressure), but I saw a Fox clip on the Daily Show immediately after the inauguration where the Fox geniuses claimed that the "re-do" of the inaugural oath (due to fumbling by the Chief Justice the first time) wasn't valid because a Bible was not used the second time. Read the Constitution, idiots: it gives explicit wording for the oath (or affirmation) but no mention of the Bible or who adminsters the oath.

Funny though it may seem, none of the hospitals in Hawaii are claiming they were the birthplace of our POTUS (President of the United States).
None of his school records have ever been released, no school friends have come forward and no professional associates have been mentioned or been referred to as such except a few choice ones that apparently have blown up in Obama's face and almost scuttled his campaign.

This wasn't started by the Republicans. It was started durring the primaries when Obama was going against Hillary in Pennsylvania. Pretty old news.

It's being rehashed now because a member of the military sued saying that he doesn't have to go to war because Obama isn't a citizen, and then he also got backed by a higher ranking military official.

It was first started by a lawyer who supported Hillary Clinton. Obama never did show paperwork, only put it on a website.

Nope, that's the whole point of the lawsuit to begin with. That's the reason why people are still making the argument.

The lawsuit was to force Obama to hand over his paper work. He refused. The judges who saw over the case tossed out the case. The college he attended also refused to show his papers that he filled out to attend the college. People who believe he isn't a citizen believe this is because he put country of origin as Kenya.

If he handed over his paper work, they could be authenticated and everything would be over, his refusal only gives fuel to those who say he isn't a citizen.
