Boston Munch! Nov 1 - Dress up for Halloween!

LeeAllure & I are hosting a munch in Boston on November 1! Location TBD. It's the Saturday after Halloween, so dressing up is optional! Lee and I will be dressed up, so join us! 😀

See you all in less than 2 months!


*edit* Lee and I realized that we will be out of town on October 25. So we moved our munch to November 1 (the following Saturday, the day after Halloween). So don't pack up those costumes right away - put 'em on and meet some cool peeps for dinner!

So i totally plan on making the drive down! just gotta know the adress to program in tomtom so i dont get lost like an idiot lol! but i will definetly be there! i have to ask what will we be doin? sonce this is my first actual get together with ne actual tmf members! WOO it should also be a welcome to the community Grandmaster party as well! jk
 
Coming up on the 31st and I will definitely be there for the first of the Boston munches.
 
Okay, so we have a probable location. I am waiting
on confirmation from the restaurant. It's in a very
central location, close to the T-stop, and several
hotels nearby in case anyone needs to spend the
night. It's in a suburb so that anyone who drives
won't have to spend their life savings in order to
park. 🙂

I'll keep everyone posted - I am hoping to know
something by tomorrow evening, then I will post
the details. But as it stands, we are still on for
the munch on November 1 (Saturday, day after
Halloween).

At these munch's what exactly goes on. I know what happens at a normal party, but does tickiling occur here? I hope I'm not sounding silly by asking this
 
Hey poptart. Not a silly question at all. I'll answer, as I also am currently organizing munches, down in the New York City area.

A munch is primarily different from a gathering in that there is NOT any play. It is held at a restaurant/lounge/pub where people can eat, drink, and be merry for a while. It is an opportunity to hang out and get to know other people in the tickle scene, without the pressure of any play. That way, when you meet those same people at a gathering, it will be that much easier and more comfortable to play then.

If you do meet someone that is interested in play, you are welcome to organize something on your own time, but there is not any play at a munch. Restaurant owners tend to get upset by lots of loud laughter and shrieking :manicd:

You should definitely come out. Amanda and Lee are wonderful hostesses and there will be a lot of other great people there to meet.
