bound ankles increasing foot ticklishness?

My wife hurt her ankle and wrapped it tightly in an Ace bandage. When I tickled her feet, that foot was much more ticklish than her other foot with no tightly wrapped bandage on her ankle.
Is there some physical aspect of tightly bound ankles that increases the ticklishness of the feet?
Her feet were bare and I was tickling with my fingers.
Not complaining mind you, just curious.

I would think that the tight wrap increases blood flow in the skin of her foot. I mean, just think about when they wrap your upper arm to draw blood.
