Bryce Harper

On Monday nights' game, Harper got ejected for yelling someone at the umpire while Bryce was in the dugout, and then no more than 2 minutes after, was on the field celebrating his teams win with the walk off home run, where he had more "choice words" for the umpire. Many have said Harper is the new face of baseball, but do we, as baseball fans, want someone with a temper and all around classless nature like Harper as the face of baseball? Any thoughts on the ejection? On Harper in general?

I've thought Harper to be brash and very arrogant. That said, his skills are to be respected. Several teams walk him on purpose.

As far as the game you mentioned keep in mind it was 'in the moment' situation. Baseball can turn on a dime as in this situation.

Funny thing to me has always been as long as I've been watching baseball.. never, ever.. ever.. has an umpire told a player or coach "You're right. My bad. It was a strike/he was safe, etc." So why do coaches and players continue to waste their time. At least now they have homerun reviews.

Obviously, Harper is highly talented and on track to be a perennial All-Star for years to come. Still, this latest indecent of his shows how much of a kid he still is (and kinda spoiled one.) I'm sure he'll grow out of it to some degree, but part of it might just be who he is.

So my overall thoughts: Phenomenal baseball player, but not the kind of guy I'd ever want to spend time with
