Building a rack. (Help me?)

Hey everyone!

So, I was wondering if any of you knew a cheap way to make a rack (like the medieval torture device)? I'm currently working on some short films, involving tickling and I need a way to create one of these. I'm sure I could figure it out, but if anyone has done it before some instruction would be awesome! 🙂

I'm a college student, so money is limited, but any insight would be fantastic!!

P.S. Also, if you have any other cheap "tickle torture" devices and setups and would like to share how you made them, I'm definitely interested in those as well. 🙂

There are actually some sites that have instructions on how to build your own goodies. You can find links to them (along with a bunch of stores selling stuff) HERE.

I'm thinking it would be fairly simple to make a flat rack using 2X4s for the sides and 1X4s for the cross pieces. (You could use a sheet of ply if you don't care about the slatted look. But, you'd sacrifice tie-down options.) Then, frame the whole thing with 2X6 for a nice finished look. Some heavy duty screw hooks along the outside give you restraint points to secure to. You could lay it on a floor or put it on a sturdy table and drape a cloth skirting around it to dress it up for shooting.
