warmoth.com and stewmac.com are the only two you'll need for the guitar.
I'd buy the neck and build a body onto that.
If you can get hold of a copy of the Guitiar Player Van Halen / Hendrix special as Eddie VH goes into lots of detail on how and why he built his first guitars.
Unless you are really skilled at woodworking I'd run a mile from making your own neck.
