Bullying

Did anyone know of or ever have any experiences with bullies who would tickle torture girls? I've never experienced this myself, but after perusing various forms of schoolyard safety propoganda, I was surprised to find that prolonged, non consensual tickling is indicative of bullying. Well, actually, that didn't surprise me (anything inflicted upon someone against his/her will is bullying). What did surprise me was the fact that prolonged, non consensual tickling seemed to be one of the most common signs of bullying. So, does anyone have any stories?

Sorry, but tickling was only within cliques when I was in school. You know, fun, friendly stuff. Our bullies would just try to punch me in the face...

Nope, bullies used to break my glasses, destroy my poetry and steal my CD's...but they never tickled me.

Its funny seeing as how i decided to look up the old people that bullied me in the past on sites like classmates.com. I'm the one in college bettering myself, and 90% of them have turned into trailer trash. Karma does work!

I haven't seen it myself, but back in 1996--when I first started using the Internet and as a result, typed "tickling" into Yahoo and was delighted to see tickling websites come up--I was reading through the mainstream tickling section at the old Tickle Central webpage. It told about an old movie in which a group of neighborhood bullies were antagonizing some butler. Somehow, the butler ended up falling and getting stuck, and the bullies started tickling his feet with a featherduster. A women that lived in the house eventually came and shooed the bullies away; but, unable to resist temptation, tickled the butler herself before freeing him.

I can't remember the name of the movie, but I think it was some old movie. Maybe someone else remembers? Also, I can't remember if that is exactly how the scenerio went, but it did involve the bullies tickling his feet with a featherduster, and the woman saving him, then tickling him herself.

Personally, and this is just my viewpoint on the matter, I can't really imagine bullies using tickling. As for myself, if I am going to tickle someone, I have to like that person. So, unless bullies just think differently than I do--which is likely, seeing as how I am not a bully--or they are bullying someone because they secretly like that person, I can't see it happening. Not saying it doesn't happen, I just can't see it. Besides, tickling seems like something that would appear to be too gentle of a technique for them to like using. Then again, I could be wrong. I have been in the past. heh

i'm sad to say this, but i was a bully back in school. i was one of the jocks, so if some nerdy kid started talking stuff to me, yeah, pretty much what chosen said. but occasionally i'd tickle a girl into giving me a hug or something, lol.

My school was so small we didn't really have any bullies, everyone in my class was relatively friendly with each other, regardless of what clique they were in, except maybe one or two people who nobody liked. And they weren't bullied, we just pretended they didn't exist (yes, I realize that's not much better).

I was a bullies worst nightmare (sorta like Jimmy Hopkins in the video game Bully) I stood up for weaker kids Boys and girls as a matter of fact my friends and I who played football all did. I did stop a boy who use to take girls shoes mostly when they wore slip ons (Heels, dress, shoes, and sandles) but this was during my no tickling stage, for that matter I really didn't look for any payment (of anymeans.)

come to think of it, I was kinda a verbal bully. I never meant to harm anyone, but I was kinda a dick to people I didnt like.
