I have photos I took of the Berlin Wall in the 80s when it was still up and had spray paint all over it if that will add anything to the story as far as detail... I could scan them if I can get my dang scanner to work. (check out my thread about THAT....)
An interesting aside, not really historical in the sense of the wall coming up or going down, but as a point of adding some color or flavor to flesh out the novel, on the West's side of the wall were all sorts of small souveneir stands where you could purchase postcards of the wall being built and really artistic spray painted graffitti; B&W posters of famous photos featuring East Germans - including a guard - jumping over to the West before the wall went up, and so on. In West Germany, due to the wall, a small market was thus created of "Die Mauer muss weg!" related items, both celebrating (and reveling in) economic freedom while symbolically thumbing the nose at the repressive East.
Moses, well done. I was gonna ask about Martians. You win.
I've read that Churchill and Stalin were gay. Very.
I'd love to have those pics of the wall when you get your scanner working OJ. Thanks. Yes, there will be tickling scenes in this novel. They will occur naturally as all my scenes do. Esther and Phillip, the two main characters, are b/f g/f. Also, each has siblings. So, even though it won't be the focal point of the novel, tickling will definately be part of Esther and Phillip's language.😀 😉
