So my first love/high school ex taught me this move inadvertently. We’d have tickle talks. Mostly about how to torture her, but this time was a hypothetical on how SHE’d torture another woman… & she came up with this.

Before the session, but when they’re already tied, a nice relaxing atmosphere. Hot, steamed towels wrapped around the bare soles of the victim. A nice relaxing massage to get the blood flow.. and then you strike

I've never done this exact scenario, but I can see it working well. I've found feet to be much more ticklish after being warmed up with well-hydrated skin, like from being in shoes for a while. But From a sensory perspective, for some people, me included, massage causes more of a desensitizing effect. More often than not in my experience, tight muscles are ticklish muscles. The nerves are already on edge due to their tense and irritable state. From a psychological perspective, it can vary more widely. Some people seem to be more ticklish if they are more relaxed, while others more ticklish if more anxious or nervous. As long as I'm not feeling truly threatened, worried, or depressed, I feel much more ticklish when I'm more nervous or anxious.

Rachel has a pair of soft boot-style slippers that can be warmed up in the microwave. During the winter, she puts them on her bare feet for about 10 minutes and let me tell ya, tickling her warm, buttery soft feet after peeling them off is like that first chocolate chip cookie straight from the oven!

The warm towels seems like it would have a relaxing effect on her which is generally the effect that I try to have on a lee, but my modes are probably different than most as well.

I'm all for the giggles, squirms, and ticklish reactions but I'll incorporate massage, tracing, and other relaxation techniques into my sessions as well.
