English history after all the Middle Ages barbarism was always boring as hell to me. Growing up in the 80's, I figured the royals were just some rich people who got paid crap loads of money to live like....royalty,
...and basically be trash. Have affairs, gossip and back stab each other, have more affairs, get involved in more scandal.....basically, they were tabloid fodder. I figured if all the tabloids went out of business, they'd have to fire the royal family. Yes, this is how much I paid attention.....or cared, so don't bother enlightening me......
Buy boy has this Kate Middleton peaked my interest!
She wears pantyhose!
She wears nude or flesh colored pantyhose!
She wears them frequently!
The article says she even dresses herself, so obviously she chooses to wear them, no matter how much the reporters insist it's royal protocol....
Fashion icons like this start fads or trends, and she is simply bringing back a "standard" that was buried a decade ago, much to the delight of nylon lovers and horny husbands alike!
This ABSOLUTELY fascinates the hell out of me, I'm about to become a royal follower, because of the sticky situation all those smug ass snobby fashionistas are in:
Pantyhose have become considered the absolute worst fashion accessory humanly conceivable in the past decade. I'm talking movies have been retconned to show bare legged ladies in the 70's and 80's, even though it was not so. Even the ladies in the back of the magazines in the "Worst Dressed lists" weren't wearing nylons. The only way to find them was to request them in a tickle video.... They insisted they were "grand ma garments" strange, since young women and ladies wore them from the 90's back to the 70's (I usually lump stockings and pantyhose together, so I'll say 50's, hell, 1920's....)
Now you have Kate Middleton. Darling of Hollywood, of royal watchers, who finally got their "Royal Wedding," she's immensely popular.
And she's wearing those "damned" pantyhose! Nude colored, flesh colored, at that! Not those crazy patterned hose that'll be out of style in a few years, like bell bottoms and big ass shirt collars on men.
But then, she's stylish! She looks really, really nice. Nothing she has worn yet that I've seen would get her anywhere NEAR the back of any magazine in the worst dressed category. But dammit, those pantyhose!
This should be interesting to see what happens. Maybe England will embrace them, which these stories claims is happening. America may just ignore it, who knows.....
