One thing worries me. The pattern of the Jets playoff run looks familiar. REAL familiar....

2011: Jets are the AFC #6 seed
2006: Steelers are the #6 seed

2011: Jets beat the #3 seed (Colts) in the wild card round.
2006: Steelers beat the #3 seed (Bengals) in the wild card round.

2011: Jets beat the #1 seed (Pats) in the divisional round.
2006: Steelers beat the #1 seed (Colts) in the divisional round.

2011: Jets are set to play the #2 seed (Steelers) in the championship.
2006: Steelers beat the #2 seed (Broncos) in the championship and went on to beat Seattle in the Super Bowl.

Do I think the 'burgh can beat them? Absolutely! Do I wonder about history repeating and all that? Yes, I do.

I believe the Jets will beat the Steelers. The key matchup is the Jets offense vs the Pittsburgh defense. The Jets' defense can handle anything Big Ben can dish out. The Steeler offense is nothing but big plays. After taking down Manning and Brady, Big Ben should be easier, not that he's not good, but he's no Manning or Brady.

Right now the Jets are playing as one. They truly believe in themselves and once a good team does that, they will be tough to beat.

I just hope the Steelers play "clean". Seems like ever since Tomlin took over, the Steelers have escalated their physical play into dirty play.....

I agree he's not Brady or Manning, but he's only 28 and has 2 rings so far. Like him or not, he steps up his game in the playoffs. I personally think the Steelers win this one.

Big Ben doesn't have the same talent as Brady or Manning. He has got 2 rings, can't deny that, but it's not like Big Ben wins all the time in the playoffs either. The Jets are playing really well. This game is going to be interesting....

Any Given Sunday. With the way I've been picking games in the playoffs so far this year, I won't even make a prediction. The Steelers are a 3 point favorite so it's basically a toss-up if you figure that the home team is typically given 3 points in Vegas.

I will say though that I will definitely be rooting for whoever comes out of the NFC (Packers or Bears) in the Super Bowl. 😀
