while my doctorate in phys ed hasn't shown up in the mail yet, I'm pretty sure this is going to fall back into one of those "depends on the person/intensity/etc." kind of answers. I'm totally on board with your theory because I imagine a lot of cardiac-intense things would provide a good workout and help shed some pounds.
in the end, I'm gonna agree with persona and go start advertising that for the gyms around here!
According to scientific research 100 laughs are the equivalent of 10 minutes of cardio workout (if i remember correctly)... so i think it would shed weight if you do it on a regular basis... wither tied up to a bench or not 😛
I suspect that it wouldn't be good for muscle tone. You only want a certain amount of resistance, not absolute resistance. But I would think that a ticklish person would burn up a lot of calories with all the laughing, struggling, and the stress of it.
And you will not even need workout clothes! You will sweat more efficiently and have more muscle groups tended to when you are strapped down to the workout table completely NAKED! And no gym clothes to wash later. Consider that!
this is a interesting idea according to the thoughts within the hollywood brother. it would seem that the act of laughing and also the squirmimg would help with weight loss. also for the ler the quick finger and arm movements over the course of a few hours might also help with weight loss
