Can women rape men, apparently they can.

Yeah, I think that blurb has it right. I take it you object to something in it?

I imagine, it's under-reported because few men would be willing to come forward to admit that they were raped by a woman, but it can happen.

Myths about Male Rape

I agree with Nemmy on this.

Also, unless you are a rape survivor, and have reported it to the police, one can't possibly know how difficult that is.

Back when I was married, my wife had sex with me one night....while I was asleep! I mean, I was totally out of it. To this day, I have no memories of it. Obviously, I did not give any consent to having sex, as I was asleep the entire time.

I'm not trying to make light of the concept of male rape, but merely point out that, from my own personal experience, yes, your body can be manipulated into intercourse without you "being into it" or "wanting it". Even thou she was my wife, I was a bit pissed, as she thought it was a humorous situation.

Not to sure she would have seen the humor if the situation had been reversed.

I think it would be difficult enough for a woman, and it is generally excepted that sexual offences happen to them, so I would think it is 100 times harder on a guy. I believe it was in an episode of Titus where they brought up the topic of Female on male domestic abuse. Grant it, Titus is a comedy so most of it wasn't heavy, but the spot at the end was really important IMO, sort of the male version of those No Man has the Right adds. The double standards women have dealt with in the past for Voting and getting paid less money were bad, but the double standard we guys deal with can actually get us killed.

I found it... good old YouTube... until the copy right police come along...

I don't remember hearing about old Gloria writing any books about that.

I mean, you make good points.

However, I don't think there's hypocrisy in the relatively low profile of male-rape awareness (and I think you were implying there is), given that, under-reported or not, women compose an overwhelming majority of sexual violence victims. The attention is pretty proportionate.

Guess what bro, there is nothing light or funny about what she did to you. It's not like she woke you up with oral sex and a wink (that's pretty much no matter who is on the receiving end) we are talking about full on sexual intercourse with out your consent, and that my friend is rape. I am not surprised that she didn't take your feelings of the matter seriously either, there are allot of people who seem to think men are unemotional ghouls, simply because they have had the misfortune or stupidity to only date those sorts of men in the past.

These are the same people who think it's ok to his men in the balls for fun, and that women aren't emotionally able to deal with violence (even though they are packing M16 and going into front line combat in the the Middle East). What I believe it that people who think that way, regardless of gender, should be locked in a padded room and never let out. I would toss your ex in there as well.

I agree with that, but what I mean by "double standard" is that people are more likely to believe a woman is a victim/survivor of rape, or inter-gender violence then they are a man. Remember how Titus's brother reacts when he finds out the ex girlfriend was beating up his big brother, that how I see most people reacting when they find out about any Female on Male crime, especially violent ones. Hell look at what passes for "Female Empowerment" in cinema, they are practicably telling women it's ok to punch a guy in the face. Another example is the Getaway, the original featured Steve McQueen slapping Ali MacGraw around, the Basing/Balwin version was the other way, but is either one really ok? Meanwhile feminists everywhere went ape shit when Cagney shoved a Grapefruit in Mae Clark's face. That is what I mean by double standards my friend. It doesn't seem like a big deal now, but give it time.

Hah! I have a slight working theory that there is only 'male rape' if the female rapist looks like an orangutan. 😀
Correct me if I am wrong.

You're wrong. There is only male rape when the female rapist does not receive consent for her actions.

Let's say his rapist is as pretty as Monica Belucci, with100% no venereal disease, with 240 IQ, and happens to be his lover... It was a "slight" working theory as I said...

Anyway, if I get more serious, there is rape if the man has really been violated in all the process and aspects of it from start to finish. Then from there he can deduce the proof.

It gets even trickier when you start using the language of "sexual assault" rather than rape. If the question becomes one of uninvited touching, aggressive words or demeanour, coercive or manipulative behaviour, then I'd say the ratio of female-to-male perpetrators approaches 1:1.

That doesn't mean, by the way, that I think all the above behaviours are an assault. I think we've all been trained to be oversensitive about sex. But fair's fair, and if feminism gets to claim that 70% of women are sexual assault victims based on their definitions, we get to turn that logic back around on them.

manipulative behaviour

I think you're on to something.

lol, I've woken up to my girlfriend having sex with me... I'll still jokingly refer to her as "my rapist," but it honestly doesn't bother me.

I can't speak to what others would do... But if I woke up having sex with a reasonable facsimile of an orangutan, you'd better believe I'd be dialing 911. 😛

Hahahaha! That got me really laughing hard on how you apply presence of mind in times of trouble. Just avoid the gag. :jester:

It seems like some of the jokers are assuming that men can get raped by a female only one way- Think of all the orifices you have and how many objects a female can force into them. Maybe it will be even less funny now.

Regardless of the gender of the victim or the gender of the perpetrator- rape isn't funny.

^ We are old enough to know that no one takes rape lightly in real life.

If she has an IQ of 240 then she would be smart enough to know it is illegal to fuck somebody without consent. If she looks like Monica Belucci then she would be just vain enough to want her partner to be awake for the entire act to sing her praises. Not to mention any guy who is with a woman who fits that description would go to sleep without making sure she was completely satisfied, know full well that all of his friends would be waiting for him to have ONE bad night so they could attempt take his place. In other words once I was done with her she'd be to tired to try and take advantage of me in my sleep.

It might be something nice to wake up to, but what if she fucked you in your sleep without a condom thinking she could trap you into the relationship for good by getting pregnant? Now I'd bet it takes on a different perspective.
