I tried to update my sig and keep getting this "page cannot be displayed" message, and the same thing happened when I tried to update my profile.

You can try the following (assuming you are using IE)
Tools > internet options > Temporary Internet Files > delete files > Delete Cookies.
Log back into the forum and see if you are still having the same problem. If you are, I would always suggest using another browser such as firefox or opera both of which seem to have far less problems than strange behaviour you get with IE.
