Cars reunion with Todd Rundgren?

Did anyone else see this story about 80s rock group The Cars reforming next year? Lead vocalist Ben Orr passed away a few years ago and Ric Ocasik wants no part of it, so apparently(unless I read wrong) Todd Rundgren is gonna take Ric's place.
Although I think if anyone could pull off singing Cars songs, Todd would be the man, the guy's a genius.

I like The Cars. I don't know much about Todd, but if he's as good as you say he is, Drew, the reunion should be a success! They certainly can't do any worse than the other '80's bands that have regrouped in recent years with new singers, like INXS. 😛

That would be out-freakin-standing...especially if they mixed in some old Todd and Utopia stuff too...I'd be all over that concert! Todd's albums were a bit uneven but the good stuff was truly brilliant and I liked the Cars a lot, especially the first two albums. Great pairing...hope it happens.
If they come to New England area Drew maybe we can meet up!

I just saw a Todd Rundgren concert on my friend's newfangled cable system. Todd rocks! I love his old stuff but man, he really can get down with his bad self today! His voice has aged well, too. He did a version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" that blew me away... although I'll always love The Beatles' version best.

The Cars and Todd Rundgren... I think it's a great idea!
